So I decided to make a QB because it's my favorite position, but I don't really know how to build one properly.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=1985059

Some questions...

Should I totally ignore speed for a pocket passer? Just focus on the main throwing stats, confidence, and stamina (as the most important stats, there's carrying too...)?

What are good SAs?

I don't boost so I will likely be a backup eventually. Should this effect how I build my guy?

Thanks in advance...

Don't totally ignore speed becasue you'll have to try to put up a fight when DE/DTs are chasing you. Add more Stamina, Conifdence and Agility. If you want your player to pass more balls deep, then put more strength than throwing. If you want him to be accurate, put more throwing than strength. If he is throwing deep, agility and stamina will be needed.

Also add vision.

Nah I made him a pocket passer because I wanted him to be more accurate.

I mean I know the basics, like most of what you mentioned, but I'm not sure when I should raise the stats and stuff like that. Like an LB would focus on speed, agility and vision primarily at first (as an example), and after a while devote more training to strength and tackling. How would that order go best for a QB?

Start with adding throwing and vision. Then add strength, every now and then throw in confidence and stamina. Add tiny bits off speed and agility.

For a pocket passer (Deep passer is different):

Step 1: Take Throwing to the cap you want to have it at. Most go to 74-77

Step 2: Take Vision to the cap you want it at. My recommendation would be 74-77

Step 3: Here is where there will be more disagreements. You can take Confidence to the cap you want it at since it is one of your main stats as a pocket passer, or you can raise Strength (I prefer strength since it doesn't train with much other than throwing).

Step: 4: Get whatever stat you didn't raise in step 3 to the cap you want it at.

Step 5: Train speed/agility when possible. Speed/stamina or agility/stamina can also be cycled in to raise your stamina.

EQ: You can either put all in throwing...or some in throwing and some in vision.

SAs: Tight Spiral is the big one...raise this one first. The rest In that tree are all good too...so you can't go wrong.

VAs: Laser Arm, Quick Release, and whatever else you like.

Season to taste.

Just my 2 cents. Others build differently.

Wow, that sounds like a great plan. I think I'll go the strength route at first, then go towards confidence. Just so the overall passing is good (and hopefully that won't hurt my guy's confidence).

Thanks a lot.
