After being down 6-3 after a slow 1rst quarter start for the Demon Brigade They came out in the second quarter looking for souls to take over.
They certainly did that.
After a 2nd quarter interception by Dan -Bomb that set up a Touchdown pass from Uncle Sam to TEXANS FILOMAN they continued to wreak havoc on the Regulars.
The defense was definatly possesed as they only gave up 229 total NET yards and by not giving up any touchdowns and having 3 interceptions and a forced fumble.
About 8 minutes after the FILOMAN Touchdown the Demon D got another interception, this time it is credited to Pimp Slap. Only the offense couldnt convert the turnover into points so they were forced to punt.
On the next play from scrimmage for the Regulars, Payne Rush delivered a viscious hit on Chip Runda forcing a fumble which was recovered by Pimp Slap.
Going in to the 3rd Quarter with a little over 2 minutes left, Backup Runningback Donnie Darko Punches it in for a Demon Touchdown on a 2nd and goal from the 1 yard line.
In the 4th quarter Uncle Sam hooks up with U-can't Touch-this across the middle and he takes it in for a 33 yard touchdown.
The Demon D continued its domination in the 4th quarter when St. Petersburg quarterback Blake Snakely was picked off once again this time by Just Bad.
More help with the scoring came from our wonderful kickers Phat Ho and Joe Shoe-less. Ho hitting 4 field goals and Shoe-less hitting 1.
Altogether with a great team effort and a couple great individual efforts the Demon Brigade Dominate in the season opener by winning 36-9.

What did you think of your teams performance yesterday?
I thought it was a convincing win for us. You know, the rest of the league was trying to make a laughing stock out of us after the trouble we had last season, so we wanted to come out and really hit this team in the mouth and show everyone that we're back! GET SOME BITCHES!!
Do you think that this was a good season opener for the defense?
Most definitely. We know what we're capable of and we wanted to set the tone for the season. Unfortunately we didn't get the shutout but we held them to only 9 and shut them out in the second half. I feel pretty good about the win.
Do you think that this defense can play this good for the whole season?
Absolutely. I think we can get back to what we were doing in Season 1 and really beat some teams up. All we have to do is stay focused and take care of our individual assignments and we'll bring the pain. GET SOME BITCHES!!
What can we expect from the defense for the next game against the Georgia Tech 9s?
