can someone clarify what 8 bonus token buys? You get to upgrade custom equipment one time? is that plus 5 to any attribute? Thanks in advance.

You can exchange 4 for 1 permanent SP to spend and a +5 bonus to any one attribute for one non playoff, non scrimmage game
or you can exchange 8 for 1 upgrade to 1 piece of aeq you own assuming the piece of aeq can be upgraded.
there's also aeq conversion but that's not really an "option" just something you might have to do
