I'm new to the SS builds, i started one 2 seasons ago and with the impending archetype decision i thought "I dont see any pd/int SS discussions going on".

I know that generally the safety roles are to make the last tackle if anybody gets by, but i always love seeing pds and ints. Are they worth considering? just curious.

well, there really is no interest in such a thing.

well coming from an CB standpoint... INTs are hard to come by, so its usually not a good idea to try and build for something like that. although, if you wanted to give it a go anyways, vision and SV,agility, jumping, catching (debatable) and sticky hands are what you need. my lvl 63 CB (retired) had 120 INTs... most in not so competitive leagues... but he still had 50+ INTs in close games (decided by less than 21 pts), which is more than what most CBs get in careers including games against gut jobs. but anyways, he had ~70 vision, 12 SV, ~95 speed, ~85 agility, ~65 jumping, 10 SH, ~50 catching. he also wasnt very well built, so you could probably very easily surpass all those numbers. and maybe tweak them (i would recommend more speed/less agility) since you are a safety and not a CB and probably not in man as much as a CB.

well, the Zone arch gives catching in the major ALGs and jumping in the minor, so I thought it would be interesting for a safety. Maybe a Man CB because of the coverage SAs could be good, but they only get a few opportunities a game if the WR isnt targeted a whole lot, and if they miss it is riskier for a TD. of course pds are better than tackles, and ints are just gravy on top.

yeah, thats the thing for INTs... you almost have to bait them out of the QB by playing off and letting BH do the work for you (or at least in my experience.)... at least as far as CB are concerned. for a safety, now this is merely speculation as i have never had a high level safety, but i can imagine, in zone, that vision is key so you can get the read on the ball as early as possible, and then speed to get you there so you can jump the route and get your hands on the ball (agility not as much since BH will kind of take care of the acceleration bit.)
