When you are given initial starting points when creating a player in the FS position is it better to invest those points into speed or keep speed low for training purposes and invest those points in vision? Im kinda lost in the slow building process now a days with all the points you get when creating a player and the archetypes. If anyone has a link to modern slow building techniques that would be awesome, thanks.

save your points until you train speed to 30 and then train up to 85%+ and put points into speed until it's at least 74 and switch training to agility/vision

no, urdoinitwrong.
you only save points until attribute+SPs=48. as you said, its a good idea to train to 85-90% before you spend said SPs, but it is not a good idea to train to 30 and then spend SPs. ALGs are worth more in the long run than the few SPs you save from training.

yeah, thats primarily for the first attribute. if your still pumping that first attribute and get to 30 on your next attribute through training, its not a bad idea to continue to train it... or at least until it hits 33-35 (which is the point where you really need to stop training, and move on). but as a general rule of thumb, if you can cap it, do it.
