seriously we don't have a topic up for this yet?

not sure how hard each team is really going to try for this since it looks like both might have burned out from gameplanning their conference championship games, but there's tons of talent on both sides.

early pred: wildfire 28 - moose jaw 13

We're favored?

LOL Preseason - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1001063
very evenly matched

LOL Scrimmage - http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=982298
less evenly matched

I think we've made ground on Moose Jaw obv between the games, and then probably have again since we played in the preseason. But both of those games are just indicators of raw talent with no gameplanning.

Dunno how much work Moose Jaw will put in, but the Wildfire effort unfortunately will probably be 25% of our Bloodweiser effort We had GMs from other teams helping, our DC up until 5:00 AM, etc., I just don't see that happening again haha.

In either case, I'll be sure we get a good product out!!

Good luck my friends.

P.S. both owners get gold-silver either way. We've been friendly GMing for a few seasons now

Wildfire vs. Moose Jaw

Dimmy Finster is pretty sure both teams are happy just to be here. Wildfire were probably favored last game, but it's always
good to win those games. Moose Jaw pulled off an upset to beat the best team remaining in Queensland
Both teams had making WL their goal, and both teams are kind of tired at this point.

Wildfire is owned by octowned, but they get a lot of contributions from a lot of people.
damanwithdamoves is a great DC (with some offensive capability) and Octowned
knows his stuff as OC. They get some great build contributions from Comeasur (the former Mr. Belvedere),
and a lot of contributions frmo others as well. They're one of the most well-known
teams among GLB - with Octowned being a pioneer of modern build theory, and
with Octowned extending his GM list to a lot of well-known agents in the game.

Wildfire has steadily improved over the season with a combination of levels, adjustments,
and new personnel. I would say they are much better than they were in the preseason, where
they played Moose Jaw evenly. Wildfire features a top-notch OL, the best RB squad
this side of Queensland, and superstar TE's. On D, they have a great group of CB's
and a variety of well-tackling LB's. They also have DE St. Rush, who has been destroying Moose
Jaw ever since S7. They also had a bunch of home playoff games, which gives them a big advantage over cash-strapped
Moose Jaw.

Moose Jaw actually has very similar personnel to October, but without the coaching pedigree
or season-long improvement.

Both teams have the others owners as GM's, which means both owners will be getting silver trophies
from this game. Octowned has proclaimed himself as only a lolGM of Moose Jaw,
but nothing could be further from the truth. Based on Wildfire offensive theories,
Moose Jaw completely revamped its offense and offensive line into its current form.
Octowned (in the forums and elsewhere) has been a huge influence on Moose
Jaw build theory, even when he didn't know it. Without that, Moose Jaw would not be playing in the finals.
Moose Jaw owes Octowned and Wildfire a huge debt of gratitude. But not enough to throw the game!

Comparing the two teams personnel wise, Wildfire has the better HB's, Moose Jaw has the better WR's.
Moose Jaw has the better DL, Wildfire has the better CBs. Moose Jaw has the better K. Moose Jaw LB's
are built to stop pass, Wildfire LB's are built to tackle. Maybe small edge to Moose Jaw.
But I think the matchup favors wildfire. Moose Jaw's D is built to stop a different O from
the one that the Wildfire run.

The coaching edge definitely goes to Wildfire. The Wildfire O has evolved continuously. I'm not sure what all
adjustments were made, but they've improved a LOT over the course of the season.
The Moose Jaw O is basically a carbon copy of the Wildfire O...from last season.
The Wildfire D is imaginative, original, and ever making adjustments.
The Moose Jaw D is basically a combined carbon copy of a few WL teams,
but without WL personnel.

Coaching wins in playoffs.

Wildfire 26 Moose Jaw 23.

Thanks for the writeup!! I'll have to comment more again when I have time, just shooting off to work.

Yes, I've evolved our offense all season long. You can see it comparing our first and second games against Puvi...

Great writeup as always, dimmy. Thanks for your effort on these

I don't know about "well known" for the Wildfire, though. I guess everyone in the WL is well-known to some degree, though.

I wouldn't say you guys have a better kicker, just a higher level. Mine is ridic close to yours in Effective Level for being 9 real levels behind and bars are the same at the important spots, but you can see both builds so maybe you're just basing it on all the attribute numbers which is fine (but add in that little bit of decline yours is going through and we'll see just how close it is)

Sorry, I'm proud of my Kicker builds. Hope this game comes down to a last minute FG now

whoops. I forgot to add the disclaimer that goes with all Dimmy Finster predictions:

Disclaimer:

Dimmy Finster doesn't know anything about predictions. Here's how much
Dimmy knows about predictions: Michael Lohan recently had a heart attack.
Lindsey Lohan then texted her dad in the hospital with "OMG, I hope you're OK!".
Well Dimmy is even more clueless than that
