I'm not sure how this relates to the SS, but I have some advice for all FS.

Using the following info:

Jackhammer and Zone Specialist are about to become Special Abilities instead of Veteran Abilities. If you currently have Jackhammer and Zone Specialist, you will be able to keep it, but you won't be able to add it later. Instead you will be able to choose it as your Bonus SA at the beginning of next season. They are trying to phase out Jackhammer and Zone Specialist.

Using this info, I would put at least one point in Zone Specialist and Jackhammer before the end of the season. As long as you have one point in it, you'll be able to add to it later. If you don't you will have to add SP to your Bonus SA if you want the advantage.

My suggestion for most FS is to put at least one point in Zone Specialist and Jackhammer. When the time comes to choose your player Archetype, I would choose the Zone Specialist Archetype to get the bonus to Superior Vision. For the Bonus SA, the best choice to me is Sticky Hands, but you can choose any SA not in your current tree or this thread:

Hopefully we can get some discussion going on the issue, but this is my suggestion.

Jackhammer doesnt seem like a very good VA personally. For my SS Head Hunter looks interesting.

I don't think it is the best VA for a safety, because I intend to max out Zone Specialist, Football Genius, and Ball Hawk first. I just think the one point investment will really pay off in the long run when it is time to work on Jackhammer.

would Head Hunter and Monster Hit stack together toward causing forced fumbles? thx

my ss has 15 zone specialist currently. do you guys think its worth keeping and picking up a different Bonus SA? (other than the zone one)

looks like your guy is lvl 48. pick up that zone SA (unless you want to go in a whole different direction with him), but dont put any points into it. keep the VA until they completely remove it (likely after next season or so). It defaults to the higher bonus as to which one it uses. then start putting some sp into the bonus SA.

or this could be your opportunity to completely change your build with a diff archetype, bonus SA, and reallocation of teh Zone VA.
