Inspired by the only decent montage in the Oscars last night, I bring 80s teen angst movie week.

Naga

HKH (4-10) v Saigon (13-1)
HKH once again wanted to be "Just One of The Guys" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjokAAmr2Wg of Pro but it might be tougher than they thought, while Saigon is going "Karate Kid" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOBc041ak8U on everyone they see like Cobra Kai. Playoff prediction: HKH out, Saigon #1 seed. Saigon 56, HKH 10.

NBA (13-1) v The Blue (7-7)
NBA is looking cool after having been "Outsiders" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_8zC9G3c2s last season while Blue played some "Risky Business" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdndXAlu8dM with their merger and promotion but have looked pretty good. NBA has actually looked pretty unstoppable the last several games. Playoff prediction: The Jam #2 seed, The Blue #9, just out. Jam 52, The Blue 13.

SLS (12-2) v Monks (11-3)
This is probably for the three spot in the seedings but Tibet could still catch one of them theoretically, so it's no "Sure Thing" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tbfNw2xsUk . Which team can "Stand and Deliver?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4FKADfhZFU Playoff prediction: SLS #3 seed, Monks #5 seed. SLS 30, Monks 23.

Tibet (10-4) v Bali (7-7)
Tibet looks very good in their first pro season and they're feeling "Footloose" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaaYU-lZ3ac and fancy free. Bali is fighting for their first ever pro playoff spot and looking good to get it but they haven't quite earned their "License to Drive" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4KJtDxTqWQ as of yet. Playoff prediction: Tibet #4 seed, Bali #8 seed. Tibet 38, Bali 17.

Thai (9-5) v SCSK (5-9)
Like last season Thai is closing out red hot and I guarantee no one wants to play them in the playoffs as they have the potential to really be "Gremlins" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGyghmQak-A for a higher seed. SCSK meanwhile is just planning for next time and doing their own version "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6m81HJwVs7A . Playoff prediction: Thai #6 seed, SCSK out. PDP (6-8) v Bacolod (6-8)
The loser is out and the winner very much alive in this game between teams on bad streaks. Playoff prediction: PDP #7 seed, Bacolod, just out. PDP 17, Bacolod 16.

Mekong (4-10) v CMM (3-11)
CMM is still showing some fight as they build for the future as does Mekong. Both will avoid the "Repo Man" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZCwZYNEG60 and "Suburbia" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxbzzkCfBnw of AAA, staying right here with us. Playoff prediction: both out. CMM 37, Mekong 24.

Rumrunners (1-13) v PPW (0-14)
Congrats to the Rumrunners on their first pro win! They can't mathematically avoid relegation now but they still show up on the forums in a positive way, so big props there. They are PPW are both on the "Rivers Edge" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpRxZB0Op9o of AAA but we won't play "Taps" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A79eT2W8HYE for them until next week. Playoff prediction: both out. Rumrunners 30, PPW 7.

Buffalo (9-5) v Bangalore (14-0)
How about that freaking incredible Bangalore D? Wow, they have their "War Games" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAcEzhQ7oqA pegged. Buffalo is always tough as well and you know they're ready for some "Dirty Dancing" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU8CmMJf8QA with Bangalore. Playoff prediction: Bangalore #1 seed, Buffalo, #6 seed. Bangalore 35, Buffalo 23.

Krungthep (13-1) v Sweatshop (9-5)
Krungthep has looked "Some Kind of Wonderful" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGEQM5-yuOU for most of the season and look to finish strong. The Sweatshop may not let their workers see the "Light of Day" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MISxcKlvMsg but they seem to win nonetheless. Playoff prediction: Krungthep #2 seed, Sweatshop #7 seed. Krungthep 42, Sweatshop 20.

LSP (12-2) v Singapore (5-9)
The "Young Guns" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp8hqVS6nq4 at LSP fought step for step with Bangalore and are still the defending champs. The Canes have competed but won't get any "Revenge of the Nerds" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hw6zrInbtQE here. Playoff prediction: LSP #3 seed, Singapore out. LSP 56, Singapore 13.

Tet (12-2) v Sydney (5-9)
The "Real Genius" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5qtU-tO3Jk crew at Tet are putting together another very good season. While Sydney lost their last gasp at the playoffs, at least they'll have some free time to go to "Space Camp". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDQxc9yLH3A Playoff prediction: Tet #4 seed, Sydney out. Tet 72, Sydney 10.

Lucid (8-6) v BKK (5-9)

Danang (5-9) v Ottawa (7-7)

Dharma (CPU) v Lampang (6-8)
Lampang is not out yet but they need to upset the sweatshop next week and get help from someone against Ottawa, which is not likely, otherwise they're the "Princess Bride" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHb1IH9K000 (aka just out of the playoff. RSR (2-11) v MMJ (1-13)

I didn't watch all the previews. But the best movie up there is Princess Bride IMO.

I don't remember seeing the movie for Less Than Zero. But I read the book. For the younger readers out there, a book was a bunch of sheets of paper with writing on them, bound together.

Great book. Bret Easton Ellis. I remember passing it around among my friends, mostly a bunch of wannabe hoods who never read a whole book in their lives except The Outsiders and Less Than Zero. The movie was pretty incredible as a book adaptation, but it definitely lost something in the translation ... it always does.

He went a little overboard with American Psycho, though.
