To the first point.... how many other teams spent an entire GLB career (14 seasons) in the CPL? How many teams in all of GLB were able to start in any Pro league and stay there for 14 seasons (not counting teams who made it to the WPL?) BSoDF did and had a blast doing it!

This basic origin is the one most people are familiar with. While the individual details vary, certain key elements have remained consistent in almost all retellings.
The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie were born with the name "Kal-El" on the alien planet Krypton. His parents, Doug and Lara Flutie become aware of Krypton's impending destruction and Doug Flutie begins constructing a spacecraft that would carry Kal-El to Earth. During Krypton's last moments, Doug Flutie places the young Kal-El in the spacecraft and launches it. Doug Flutie and Lara die as the spacecraft barely escapes Krypton's fate. The explosion transforms planetary debris into kryptonite, a radioactive substance that is lethal to superpowered (as by Earth's yellow sun) Kryptonians.
The spacecraft lands in Canadian Pro League, where it is found by a passing motorist. A couple named the Kents adopt The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie and name them "The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie." As The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie grow up on Earth, they and their adoptive parents discover that they have superhuman powers. The Kents teach The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie to use these powers responsibly to help others and fight crime.
The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie keeps their powers secret in order to protect their family and friends, who might be endangered by their criminal enemies. In order to use their powers to help humanity, The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie creates the secret identity of The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie. A number of elements are added to each identity to keep them distinct enough to prevent the casual observer from matching them. The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie wear characteristic red and blue costumes with the letters "BSoDF" in an emblem and a cape. The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie takes to wearing glasses, styling their hair differently, changing their body language, significantly altering their voices, and wearing looser clothing and suits that hide their physique.
The Bestard Sons of Doug Flutie moves to Metropolis and takes a job as a reporter at the Daily Planet, where he meets his friends and co-workers, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen and Editor Perry White. The Bastard Sons of Doug Flutie become the subject of frequent headline stories written by Lois, and they eventually become romantically attracted to each other.
