Currently 43-13...awful record last time - lets see if this week is a little better.

GOTW1
The Evil Empire (7-3) @ Amsterdam Affliction (9-1)
Evil are getting a lot of big games at the moment, and need this one to put themselves in a great place to get some home games in the playoffs. Although they've had a couple of close games, Amsterdam are firmly in the hunt for the #1 spot and must get a win here to make the LTS game interesting. Until the last gameweek, Evil have flattered to impress against the better teams, and even in a W their defense looked quite shaky. With Batman behind centre for Amsterdam, I've got to go for them to squeak through this one.

Prediction: Amsterdam by 4.
Actual: Empire 45-10 - wow, that was a dominating display of rushing football by Empire, while their defense just didn't give Amsterdam a chance! They have definitely kicked into form just at the right moment of the season to push on for a very good playoff spot, though will that loss to Bath be a kicker? Amsterdam are at the risk of having their season derailed slightly, and with games against LTS and Bath still to go could very likely end with 4 losses and slip down the league. Certainly they need to sort out their run defense...

GOTW2
Plainview Bulldogs (0-10) @ Parts Unknown (0-10)
The wooden spoon playoff! This will be the only chance for either of these two teams to get a win this season, and to stay within the Pro League (hence the game of the week!). I've been worried that Plainview have struggled to get anything going on offense, and although the Parts defense is pretty shocking if you look at a comparison result Parts were able to put more points up against D-Town than Plainview did. Therefore although I've slated them all season, my pick is with Parts.

Prediction: Parts by 10.
Actual: Plainview 34-20 - argh...Parts what happened?!? That start had my prediction looking like a sure fire one, then things just fell apart! To be fair, that was a fantastic result for Plainview and I'm happy that they're going to be around here next season...it's been tough for them this season watching loss after loss, but their team has a good base of players and could compete with good recruitment this off-season.

La Tourette Syndrome (10-0) @ Warsaw Wolves (7-3)
The streak travels to Warsaw, and the Wolves could just be the team to finally end it. I've really struggled to read WW this season and they're on a streak of 4, so this should be pretty close!

Actual: LTS 35-22 - the score REALLY doesn't reflect the game here...Warsaw were dominant in that first half and only a punt return made the score look a little lopsided in the 4th quarter. Warsaw will be a handful for whoever they get in the playoffs, and could cause an upset in the 1st round if they don't get a home tie.

Dresden Demons (6-4) @ Belfast Commandos (5-5)
Despite an awful start, Belfast are now on a streak of 3 and pulling themselves into the playoff hunt. They'll need to pull off some big results to get there and this is one they should look at as a possible one to win. After narrowly losing to Amsterdam, Dresden suffered what could be the shock of the season against Red Star last time out and are at risk of throwing their playoff position away. Saying that, I think they'll be just too strong for Belfast (although I don't know whether they'll thank me for saying that!).

Prediction: Dresden by 10.
Actual: Dresden 33-28 - sorry Belfast...looks like it wasn't three times a charm with the underdog predictions. Looks like a couple of risky AI decisions didn't quite pay off in that 3rd quarter, and Dresden just took the game away. That final quarter drive for 5 mins finishing in a field goal was just the icing on the cake for the Dragons, who have kept themselves in the playoff hunt with this win.

Lyon Winemakers (6-4) @ Hamburg Parrots (6-4)
With the loss to Warsaw, I stand by my belief that Lyon are going to be the odd-one-out in the playoff race (especially if Belfast join the party late)...their schedule is pretty brutal also. Saying that Hamburg shouldn't take this one easy, though I don't expect them to - they should be 7-4 at the end of this one.

Prediction: Hamburg by 14.
Actual: Hamburg 45-17 - turnover-tastic game here, and Lyon just seemed to fall apart offensively...2 INTs and 2 lost fumbles will pretty much stop your offense still and that seemed to happen here today. In turn Hamburg punished the turnovers with 21 points and a game-ending drive...that's a pretty impressive performance and something I'm really going to have to scout properly to keep the LTS streak going! Lyon are seriously looking perilous now...

D-Town Bushwalkers (4-6) @ Bjelasnica Red Star (4-6)
This game was almost bottom of the pile...but I can't put blowouts above it. Saying that neither of these teams are playing for the playoffs and this game is only for pride. Based on the previous upset, Red Star must be favourites for this one and should win it pretty comfortably.

Prediction: Bjelasnica by 20.
Actual: Bjelasnica 35-10 - looking at the stats this seems a pretty close game, though this was another tail of turnovers,,,and Bjelasnica finished with a comfortable win. That's a pretty impressive streak Bjelasnica have going, and this next game will be very interesting to see whether they can put on a final burst towards the playoffs (a 9-7 record might just be enough...) As for D-Town, better luck next season guys.

Rome Titans (1-9) @ Team Perkis (6-4)
Not quite sure what happened in Perkis-land last game, but they've got an easy one against Rome to recover. They should still reach the playoffs given the teams they've beaten, but I don't know how far they'd get.

Prediction: Perkis by 62.
Actual: Perkis 59-0 - sooo close on the prediction! Despite a couple of lost fumbles, Perkis's defense were very dominant (4 INTs!!) and they stay in the 7-4 pack...man this league is close!

Stockholm Meatballs (2-8) @ Bath Killer Bees (7-3)
Stockholm are on a 2-win streak...there is no way that will be three sadly. Bath continue their ominous run to Game 16, where they might leapfrog Amsterdam in the league.

Prediction: Bath by 72.
Actual: Bath 33-29 - WTF? Did Bath just have their AI set for the 2nd half or what, as that was a pretty dire showing from them recovered by a very late 4th quarter rally. Massive props to the veteran Meatballs who were a whisker away from pulling off a bigger upset than Bjelsnica the week before...they could really put a spanner in the works for a playoff chasing team in the final couple of games.

PREDICTION RECORD: 5-2, 48-15 in total (missed the big games, but was rescued with the 'minors')

Yea Bath has 3 wins before having to go through War Ham and Amsterdam. Our next 3 games are against playoff teams then two wins until our show down with Bath. That team Perkins game might come back to hurt us. Or i should say that half of football we played. Regardless this should shape up into a good finish to the season.

Yeah I once had hopes we could beat a team like bath. That is not the case though.

Could have's mean next to nothing, but that 1 long run, and punt return are the difference between us losing and winning that game.

No matter who won, that was good dotball.

The exact 3 letters I kept repeating while watching almost the whole game.

Props to stockholm though, I didn't change the D at all since I figured we'd win by 40+ and they found some pretty good ways to exploit my lazyness Don't worry, D will go back to changing every game now
