catching wont help you much as a LB. SC is good but you can find it with something more useful. the theory goes, if you play lots of man get SC if you play more zone get superior vision. a better piece would come with agility/strength/vision/speed/tackling

Keep rolling. Use the above post for further info. I'm in your situation too. I do know that I wouldn't buy that piece though. I'm after a Monster Hit with either tackling, agility, speed, strength or vision.

I don't think it's very likely to get SDC with a better bonus than +2 catching. It almost always comes with catching or jumping and it's not really that common. You don't want to spend a ton of tokens shopping for the "perfect" piece, it's better to get the max number of pieces. I'd certainly buy a piece like that if it was the best out of that roll. In fact almost every time I shop I buy a piece, probably 75% of shopping tokens I'd say.

I know the +3 agility is worth it but what about the First Step ? worth buying or keep rolling

I never found my LOLB needed first step, you could experiment with it, maybe it helps against the run.
