I used to scout for the former Trinadad & Touchdown for several seasons. Took some seasons off and am looking to get back to doing it.

Normally my reports consists of how our opponents offense has done vs thier opponents defense, and how opposing offenses have done against our opponents defense. I also try to make notes on kicking & special teams and things that may look unusual.
Also at certain points in the season (usually when my team is playing a cupcake team) I will do an internal scouting report on my team to see how we are doing.

I started doing the scouting when my original players were about level 30, so that level and higher is where I'd like to remain.

Below is a partial example of one of my reports. I only included our opponents offense vs their opponents defenses.

By these numbers we can see that this team is a balanced team with a 48/52 run/pass ratio. We can also see that this teams favors going up the middle half of its rushing plays, and does very little rushing ot the outside.

LEFT: 37% (percentage of passing plays) (55/80/1029/69)
MIDDLE; 29% (47/63/762/69%)
RIGHT: 34% (49/72/995/68%)

LONG/LEFT: 27 COMP FOR 803 YARDS, RIGHT: 24/794, MIDDLE: 19/570
MEDIUM/MIDDLE: 21/221, LEFT: 16/176, 12/146
SHORT/RIGHT: 12/55, LEFT: 12/50, MIDDLE: 6/25

From the passing numbers this team spreads the ball in each direction well, but tends to favor different directions depending on the distance. One thing I can say is that this team loves to throw the deep ball, especially on the edges and not too much up the middle. When they throw the intermediate routes, they tend to go over the middle. This says to me they have a very good slot WR & TE.
It doesn't look like they do too many short passes.

Here is my recomendations how we should go.

Everyone on wrap up tackle
LDE: Pass focus
RDE: Balanced
NT: Run
DT: Run
LOB: Pass, Go for the PD
MLB: Run, Semi
ROB: Run: Semi

CB/SS/FS: Pass focus, Go for the PD.
This team has a pair ov very accurate QB's and a wicked running game. We either have to try to defend the long pass or try to disrupt the passing game enough by putting pressure on the QB to not give them the time to go deep and dump the ball off.

My team has been around since Season 8. I had started it by recruiting excellent talent and active managers over time this process has continued as we carry over 95% of our roster each season. I have stayed dedicated to my agents and i didn't flush and reload to be competitive in higher level leagues like so many teams do, for a while we played against tougher higher level opponents but we did pretty well.

I started out running everything myself both offense and defense etc.. it's really time consuming not to mention we missed that element that comes from having many different pairs of eyes overseeing the team as a whole and so i have started giving up some of my control of the team to people i can trust. My AI's are very in depth i think I spent way way too much time adjusting them lol.

Right now I am handling the defense, while my good friend Kotoll has taken over offense we are working to our strengths here as he is better OC then I and I am more defense minded. Again we have a solid group of loyal agents that listen, adjust, and build accordingly to what the team needs.

One thing i am lacking is a real solid and dedicated scout. I do my best and so do the other scouts/gm's but lately i have had less time then i need for GLB as i am back in school right now so i am looking for a good scout who can lend a hand.

We boast a 90W 16L overall team regular season record, the gold trophy has eluded us many times (mostly just outleveled against good competition) we are coming into our own now though and our levels are catching up.
