I had some plans for this WR that were kind of interrupted by the unveiling of archetypes.

Now I'm really not sure where to go with my WR. He has been very successful in the past, but barely even plays on his current team. He'll go somewhere next season where he can make an impact. Where should I go with his next SPs though? Just leveled and my plans to make him a speed/break tackle WR may not work as well as I had planned with archetypes.

Any thoughts?

I'm not so sure about RR. prior to the archetypes I'd say yes, but now if you choose speedster archetype you will get penalty on RR and SH. may be better now to just stick to one tree, and maybe even put some points into your fake SAs.

But those without the archetypes will be unaffected, right?

yes. but... since he already has his FS & QC up to 10, I think it makes sense to use the speedster archetype so he gets the benefit of that bonus, which would make RR less valuable.

Strength, jumping and stamina should hit their respective caps or get closer to them. Next EQ upgrade should go to catching.
I don't really like the VAs you selected tbh. Not a fan of track star and slippery is pretty weak especially considering you don't have spin. I would suggest Mr. Reliable and Soft Hands.

or possession receiver, which helps with knocked loose, but soft hands is good too since you have high catching the bonus is worth more

He has possession receiver at 15 already or I would've suggested it.

As I mentioned in the OP, the original plan before archetypes were introduced was to make a high speed/high str/high carry Speed/Broken Tackle WR.

I would have taken carry and str to around 66ish.

Now I'm not so sure that's the way to go....

Stamina will definitely be capped soon though.

Track Star has always been a temporary VA and will be reset as I close in on my final build. Slippery I may have to reset now, also.

Why would the archetype announcement change your plans? You don't even have to choose an archetype if you don't want to, although I would suggest the Power or Speed archetype.

Anyways, take carrying to 60 and then strength to 60. Don't put equip points into catching, that's a complete waste. Switch Track Star to YAC Attack.

What is the consensus on jumping? Do I have to take it to 61 or will I be ok training it to 55ish?
