I could be wrong... but I thought when you throw out a cover 2, the safeties basically help out with anything that goes deep.

On this play, both safeties just let them go even though there is noone else coming to their area... I assumed they would pick those guys up and help out.

Am I wrong?

Is this a custom play or predesigned play or a AI input play ?

Looks like the saftys are set to medium depth in a zone coverage, which makes it look like a custom AI play.

CB3 was there, but med zone looks like it didn't help. FS needs more ZS or BalHawk maybe. But SS in same zone coverage. CB just didn't make a play.

It's a custom play... FS set to Deep Weak Half, SS set to Deep Strong Half... I try to give help to the CBs when I see fit, but as you can see, the safeties let them go.

Their vision and player tactics also could effect the way they cover. There's a lot of things that cause this, and some might be a sim issue.

are they set to immediate zone or just weak deep zone and strong deep zone regular?...it looks as if they went straight to their zone before reading the play, could be vision, maybe immediate zone tactic?

It could be they failed a vision check or something.. it usually doesn't happen... and I don't see it too often... I probably noticed it here because they scored on a pass play on the very next play... and upon looking at it again... I think the SS was locked in, and then left his responsibility when the pass was released. So it may have been just the FS failing a vision check perhaps.

Need more pressure. The WR looks like he ran past the desig zone boundry and was no longer in the FS's zone.
