Warrior General Games

For those new or otherwise unfamiliar...these are not my predictions. They come from an old, old Satchmo-N-Dizzy spreadsheet that compiles the data from the games played to date to come up with a set of predictions for the remainder of the season.

They're wildly erratic during the first weeks of the season and begin to take shape as we near the end of the season. This is especially true in situations like we have in the Western Conference with two gutted teams. The 255-0 wins skew the predicted scores for the two Eastern Conference teams that faced the Matadors and Bloodhounds...and it equally messes things up for Western Conference teams who've yet to face either.

So, take them for what you will and hopefully having these won't deter dimmy finster from the weekly rankings he's doing already. These are okay, but they lack a human touch. Without further adieu, here are the inaugural rankings for Season 14:

Silverbacks dominated much of that game vs. Queensland.
If you want to BE the man, you've got to BEAT the man.
So Queensland is still #1. But that was definitely scary for the rest of the league
that still has to face Silverbacks.


Dimmy Finster looks for Winnipeg Warriors to finish much higher than the computer predictions. That's a good team.


Huskies had MJ on the ropes, up 10-0 and 13-10.

There are a few teams getting the raw end of the projector now...Winnipeg being one of them. They along with Saskatoon, Windsor, North Delta, Moose Jaw, Nebraska, Tadoussac, and the Kilted Yaksmen have faced neither of the CPU teams. Once everybody has faced at least one of the gutted teams...then the spreads and predicted finish will come closer into line.

I do feel for my fellow Canada A6 Alum, IlligINC. If his Husker Maniacs don't turn it around quickly...they're toast. Their final three games of the season...Saskatoon, Queensland, and St. John's. Ouch. Of course, only Windsor avoids that trio back-to-back-to-back.

Nice predictions, I should probably update mine for the end of the first quarter, too.

I love these spreadsheet preds, but as you mentioned unfortunately Wildfire is skewed by a 255-0 week 1 win.
