Would like to see the development of "System" tags for both the Offense and Defense to allow for further differentiation between teams and styles of play, just as in the real game.
The idea would be that the Team Owner (or an assigned GM/Coord) could select from a preset list of "System" tags for both the Offense and Defense that would provide Position and Situation specific bonuses to the team and players.
For example, some Offensive "Systems" & benefits could be:
West Coast:
QB = +VIS, +Accuracy/Pass Quality
WR = +AGI, +Break Tackle %
TE/HB/FB = +AGI, +Catch
OL = +SPD, +AGI, +% Screen Blcoking
Spread:
QB = +VIS, +Throw
WR/TE = +SPD, +Catch %
RB = +SPD, +AGI
OL = +AGI, +Pass block %
Smash Mouth:
QB = +Conf,
WR = +Catch %, +Block
HB = +STR, +Carry, +Break Tackle %,
FB = +STR, +Lead Block
TE = +STR, +Run Block %
OL = +STR, +Block
Vertical Passing:
QB = +STR, +Pass Distance %
WR = +SPD, +Catch %, +First Step
HB = +SPD, +Pass Block %,

Ball Fake** = This QB is a play action specialist. +% effectiveness to the Play action fake (decreased Defender VIS) and +Pass Quality % on the play
**Ball Fake would require play action plays be implemented
System Modfiers/Math:
Additionally I think that the Teams and Players in the systems should be rewarded for the time they spend in each "System." So that a stable team running the same syatem w/ the same players benefits more than a team who changes players and systems every season. I'll use the rule that it takes 3 Seasons to fully implement (Team) or learn (Player) a system.
So whatever the end benefit of a system is (examples above), only a percentage is earned by the team running it:
Team benefits:
1st Season in a "System" = 30% (+30%)
2nd Season in a "System" = 70% (+40%)
3rd Season in a "System" = 100% (+30%)
Haven't decided yet, but could further say that players take time to learn the Systems and apply the same Math to players on the team so that:
1st Season in a "System" = 30% (+30%) of the Team Benefit
2nd Season in a "System" = 70% (+40%) of the Team Benefit
3rd Season in a "System" = 100% (+30%) of the Team Benefit
