Okay...

So, after the Obvious skills that I need.. (in appropriate order)

Punting
Confidence
Vision
Strength

How much Vision and Strength do I need? I was thinking:
Vision at 77
Strength at 68

What other skills am I going to be needing when I'm in World League..

Agility
Jumping
Speed (if at all)
Tackling (if at all)
Stamina (if over mid twenties)

I have built a pretty good punter so far and I am wondering at what point do I want to start throwing points into these abilities, and which ones, and how much do they help me blast a good punt, and nail that coffin corner when my team needs it most..

Strength is highly overrated actually. Probably something to cap, but not much more than that.
Agility and Jumping aparantly have a little bit of an effect, but not a huge effect, those and strength would probably be the last things to cap.

You probably won't notice a whole heck of alot of improvements until you get into the SA's and VA's. Big Boot and things like that will help.

Don't bother with tackling or stamina. Maybe train stamina to 20 or so.

+1

of those 2 I would not touch tackling Stamina when really there is nothing left but to train.

I do believe jumping and even speed has some effect, but only in the order you rank them.

agreed
my old P http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=495984 basically switched up what the OP suggested with 77 vision and 68 strength. my last 3 seasons he was averaging between 45-46 yds/punt, and he was on a great team, not a shitty one that would give their punter tons of opportunities from their own 20 yard line. tons of OOBs, everything you could ask for.

Think its fair to say he wouldn't have as many awards if you switched strength and vision about.

The best punter ever has always had about 48 strength.

So how much Vision and Confidence do I want?

I'm at 80 confidence and 60 vision.

I'll leave strength at 60.

I just spent 16 points on 1 punting..

How much punting is too much?

16 points on one level of punting is way too much to spend. I would push strength, vision both to 5th caps, cap spd/agi/jum, and max out BB and HT before spending that much on one point in punting.

I hope you are joking.

Punting is better than all of the other attributes combined times ten. 16 points is a scary, but probably smart thing to do.

Im constantly amazed by the build advice in this forum. The sim changes every season (and in the season). There isnt any one way to build a punter, but the best punters have shit tons of punting.

Crank up that strength to 70 and enjoy your 43 yarders.

While I will grant you that punting is by far the most important attribute, saying it's 10X more important is just patently false. If this was the case, anything more than 1/10 of your punting total in any other attribute would be wasted.

I think toppshelf's punter with a ridiculous amount of punting showed - quite effectively - that an all punting punter is not a very good punter.

I have a level 49 punter with punting at 130 (+33) and I won't put another point into punting. There is no point. My players strength is 69, speed 40, agility 48, jumping 32, stamina 15, vision 61, confidence 84. SA's are 4 calm nerves, 10 hang time, and 9 big boot. When I level up or boost the points should go into the most cost effective area that helps the most. Strength, agility which helps his mechanics, speed which can help with the distance, and so on. 16 points spent in 1 area could have helped your punter much more in any of the other skill areas.
