How much strength/tackling does a high level OLB/MLB need to be really good at level 60+?

Are 73 strength, 73 tackling , 106 speed, 85 agility, 68 vision, 63 jumping, 52 confidence and 54 stamina good numbers to target for an OLB?

Are 83 strength, 77 tackling , 106 speed, 77 agility, 68 vision, 63 jumping, 50 confidence and 50 stamina good numbers to target for an MLB?

These would be rather good LB's. Would still get pancaked, but make a fair share of plays as well.

You're not going to stop a ROT from pancaking you, but you might be able to shed a TE or FB block if you're lucky. I'd aim for more speed on the OLB maybe, and more Vision if you're pass-defense oriented.

FYI - You can get by with 60 Tackling if you choose the right AEQ/VA's.

I'd definitely go with more speed and vision for OLB's. I think 70/70 STR/TAK is a more realistic target - speed, agility and vision are more important, imo. I'd probably go with more agility and vision for MLB's

I don't think I would take jumping that high for any LB.

Ok thanks guys for the responses in here. Looks like I'm doing things right.
Just one more question, is taking Sure Tackler + Helmet Crash + Brick Wall a good idea?
I've heard a lot about DvG but are the above VA's good or do I need to replace one of them with DvG?

I don't know that you need 63 jumping. Agility and Vision would be a better place for those points.

I'm not sure if I would want to put more points on an attribute that's already 6:1 or 7:1 (Agility). Maybe Vision....

Thought there might be EQ involved in the 85 agi, 85 natural is kick ass for an LB. Yeah vision then. I would still 48 cap jumping, probably mostly with training though.

VAs are all about customizing your players to be what you want them to be. I could see going with that combination for a MLB, although I wouldn't personally.

I can see second capping jumping for OLB, then training it over to 62. If you really wanted to focus on coverage. I wouldn't have 63 jumping and 68 vision though. 68 vision isn't particularly high, not low, but not high.

I'd only go get HC/BW if my player were making tackles all over the place (i.e. missed the pd, want to get a little extra out of the tackle on the TE or covers the run a lot). That's a lot to be asking out of your VA pool.
