Although the conventional wisdom is that TV is superior over FS, however, after observing the empirical evidences in each game from various DEs vs. their builds, I come to believe FS is better than TV.

I've seen insanely fast and agile DE's with 10 of each that don't do much anymore. You need strength in there to do anything in higher leagues. This being said, FS is cheaper and therefore more worth it imo.

Umm they're apples and oranges... two different things. First step helps you get around the blocker and tunnel vision kicks in after you get around the blocker. Every build will have Tunnel vision. A better question would be first step vs change direction, but that breaks down to ...... do you have a high speed build? ok get first step so you can use all that speed. Do you have a high agility build? ok get change direction so you can make that much sharper of a cut.
