Sadly, after 9 seasons it seems that the Northern Lights are no more. Our owner and leader, Den, got a promotion in real-life and was sent to an on-site job location where he was without internet. As such, the Lights will no longer be competitive.
The Lights have been around since season 4, winning one championship in the Triple-A's to reach the Pro league. Unfortunately the Lights have never been as competitive as they had hoped in the Pro ranks. Now, without Den to gameplan and be the leader he has been the Lights are burnt out. Den has the team purchased through season 16 and I hope he can once again get regular internet access and we can begin to rebuild the Lights. As things are now though the Lights will consist of all CPU players next season. I hate CPU teams in pro leagues, but as Den is the only one able to ask for demotion we have no options.
On behalf of myself and all of the long-time agents involved with the Lights I would like to say that I greatly enjoyed my time with the team and in the Southeast Asia leagues. It has been the highlight of my time on GLB. While we were never really active on the forums we still had some rivalries with a few teams...although those rivalries have faded over the past couple of season. I wish you all the best in the coming seasons. Hopefully this will not be the last you hear from Anchorage.
If it is though, it has been a pleasure gentleman.
