I one-upped Galk. HA!
I decided to end ***O*** part way through season 9. Was going to do it immediately, glad I waited.
Hulk stepped up to carry on, but we had some challenges. Namely that the majority of the team considered GLB a 10 season thing and didn't bother filling our pipeline with Season 2/3/4 players. Those that did make them, like myself, chose to retire a lot of them in Season 8 out of general frustration with the way things were going for GLB.
Pmagic did a good job trying to fill the roster. Unfortunately I didn't help his cause by showing my frustration with GLB with the Ebay stuff. It started out as a "F**K GLB" thread in the team forum, but when people actually wanted to pay me I went ahead and did it. I don't need the money, so I am sorry I did it.
Recruiting also isn't easy when a lot of people think I am an asshole....sad but true! Some even feel the same way about Pmagic...can you believe it!
Seasons 11-13 were mostly a scramble. Hulk's players were definitely the backbone that let us do as well as we did, but for the most part we never brought in any elite dots (a few exceptions which I won't name so as not to slam any of the other dots that joined us). Black Box and palmer_garnett_95 did a great job on defense for us the last 4 seasons and we have rotated through a bunch of guys doing OC work.
Hulk had to step down as owner last season when GLB access was blocked at work, so I stepped back in as a flex donor so we could carry on.
I regret the way things went Seasons 7-9, because I enjoy GLB more now than I did then and wouldn't mind sticking around. But I have zero desire to recruit and Pmagic is AWOL so it is easier just to pull the plug.
