It is the only reason I can think of for my RB's consistent fumble issues throughout his career:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=248400

Now, I'm not saying his build is anything amazing. But he's always had above average strength, carrying and confidence for HBs, yet he always seems to have more fumbles than HBs with less in these stats, while fumbling more than said HBs. This has been consistent throughout his career.

I'm not trying to whine, I'm just genuinely curious if anyone else has seen something like this -- does the power run setting have a hidden modifier on ability to hold onto the ball, maybe? My other HB:

http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=628770&playoffs=0

He seems to fumble less, has always had less STR/CAR/CONF, but always has run on elusive settings.

So, is there something I'm missing that has caused these fumbles to happen more for Shizzle? I'd attribute it to dumb luck if it was a fluky season, but this has been fairly consistent.

It's probably whoever he has played. Probably just played against better players.

And there is no way increasing speed will increase you fumbling.

The faster you're running, the bigger the collision is when you get tackled, the more likely you are to fumble. Up your carrying.

I'd guess that it's a combo of high speed and using the power running style. What causes fumbles are quality hits (tackles). Elusives tend to avoid quality hits easier because of vision and agility. I think you compounded the issue by adding a lot more speed to the equation. Running at full 118 speed in a straight line was bound to create a lot more monster hits to your player and more fumbles. I'm sure that your size (6-0, 197 lbs) didn't help either.

A secondary issue for power runners is that when they break tackles, they are giving the defense extra chances to create fumbles.

Even though he's a power back, my RB has a ton of speed...and he fumbled last season in the WL 3 times in 321 carries. only one example, but imo i'd say that this definitely isn't the case.

How much carrying and cover up do you have? Is your speed close to 118?

7 of the fumbles this season were on 1st or 2nd down
3 were on 3rd down
1 was in a private game i couldnt see

check out the mr. reliable VA
it wont prevent all fumbles but +75% is nothing to scoff at
