I've got a WR, lvl 38 who I went crazy on and capped speed at 78 and then agility at 78 before doing anything else. I also trained both to around 95% before using SP on them and finished the training after they hit 78. It's at 98/89 right now with equipment. I want to make the agility high enough so that it's like he's using a high level first step every time he goes, but I'm not sure how high that is. This is all pretty much just equipment selection now, but would a WR with 120 speed and 90 agility or a WR with 110 speed and 100 agility be better? I only plan on putting enough into FS and QC to get to HF, Juke, and Spin and not doing that until the 50s.

120/90 is better than 110/100

FS/QC to 10, go all speed with EQ, jury is still out for HF/Juke to me. Spin requires a different build, or atleast something added.

I have WRs with 10 FS/QC, 60 jumping, ect. I'm trying to do something different. Bort has said that there were DEs with agility high enough even a very high level FS added nothing or very little. That's why he made FS give a small speed bonus for the first few seconds, but I doubt that has a major effect. I'm sure QC is the same. My goal is to get the agility high enough to be at least close to that. Then if those two SAs add nothing, I'm not going to put points into them. I am going to put points into HF, Spin, and Juke and I'm going to take catching, vision, and carrying to 68, but I'm not going to put SPs into other stats. Just train stamina up enough and train jumping and confidence as well. Yes, I know it's not conventional, but it's a test build that I think will work and I was just trying to get an idea how high you guys think I'd have to take agility. I haven't seen any other WRs with 90 agility, but there are probably a few out there. His catching hasn't been high enough to be effective yet, but he's been doing good as a returner for now and catching and vision will both be capped with my next boost.

And then he changed FS so it let you accellerate faster then your top speed for a few ticks to make up for this and first step is again very useful for most positions even with high agility.

Yeah, but how much past top speed? And is that affected at all by how high your FS is?

FS is overrated I think (I'm gonna get rocks thrown at me now)

Anyhow, on a slightly related topic, its worth noting that a 85 spd/85 agi player will make cuts better than a 120 spd, 90 agi player since it takes more agility to control more speed.

FS might be the most overpowered SA in the game.

nah, i think SDC is by far the most over powered SA. it lets 90 speed CBs stay with 120 speed WRs

Fair enough.

Meh, people accelerate too fast in GLB regardless, which hurts FS's worth. HBs for instance get to full speed in the 6 yards it takes to get to the LOS even without first step. If you can hit full speed in 5 yards, hitting full speed in 1-2 yards isn't that impressive.

If you're trying to get separation, that's huge.

Dotball is a game of ticks

That isn't why 90 Speed CBs stay with 120 Speed WRs.
