Warrior General Games

Well, after 4 seasons in WE Pro, and 8 seasons before that in WE AAA we are breaking the team up.

It's not the end completely though, I'm not selling the team and we'll be dropping down a few divisions, bringing in our farm team players and starting the long climb back up here again. I could have just kept the team in Pro, shipped in the farm team and got our asses kicked for a couple of seasons to hoover up the cash, but I have more respect for the competitive balance of this great league than that.

Thank you to everyone we've played for some great games, the competition has always been fierce here in Western Europe, so keep it up. Good luck to our old WEAAA foes Glasgow & Bath in the rest of the playoffs. Win the Championship for WEAAA#2 Zeta!

We will be back mark my words. It's just been a bit a bad planning on our part really. Our farm team is only 3 season old, so I'd rather have the challenge of climbing back up the leagues and win a few games rather than try to stick around in the hope that we can be good enough by the time we are relegated to AA or something. I'll be starting the 3rd generation pretty soon so we never have to do it again.

Who knows though? It might be fun doing it this way, this team has never been lower than AA so it's a new experience for all of us.

I'll continue to read the this forum though, Western Europe is this team's spiritual home, and this is where we'll be coming back to.

That is one of the reasons why we decided to give Pro one last shot right at the very last minute. It was so last minute that all the contracts had expired and some of the players who may have come back for one last hurrah had already been retired, hence the need for the trip down to the old folk's home on the eve of the season to finish out the roster, I was pleasantly surprised that we managed to make the playoffs this season.

What about us, we also can still win the title for WE AAA2 zeta, we just got shuffled to WEPL alpha.

However, it was always a pleasure to play against and for you, looking forward to our next games in a couple of seasons.
