Break Block isn't really for hard hitters. Actually, i think it'd be more useful for coverage SSs who are a little low in strength and don't want to get pancaked. Lots of teams use their SSs close to the line towards the outside and it helps to not get pancaked by the blocking TE or FB and to quickly get around a WR that is blocking on pitches or after a short completion.
However, break block % is the only bonus that is tacked on to either other +% bonuses or SAs. For example, you can have +1 Closing Speed +5% Break Block (one of my SSs has this) or +5% pass deflection +5% Break block but you can never have 2 SAs or an sa and a % other than break block.
