How important is it for LB's? Also where should it be at with a level 28 MLB?

It's important for every position. By the time you're level 45-50, you should be training confidence at least to the 48 cap.

Also, I've found it plays a significant role in forcing fumbles and getting over bad plays (burned in coverage, missed tackle, pancaked, etc). High Confidence plus lots of Monster Hit equals money. Very very underrated.

I'd say it's very important, despite my linebacker not having a lot. Bumping his confidence seemed to help his play somewhat, but it's hard to justify putting points in a stat that does not have an easily tangible effect on his play.
