Anyone have four pieces of break tackle AEQ for rushing FB?

Can't sufficiently upgrade 4 pieces.

Should I even try for three? I am upgraded 2/5 at level 37, almost 38, and fully on the other pieces.

Three pieces is very doable, but you will want a couple of them to be +3 attribute on top of the +%. That's to even out the fact that your 3rd piece might not be fully upgraded until late in your career.

You could conceivably do four pieces, but all would need to have decent + attribute and you would be a couple upgrades shy on a most of them... but if you got four +3 attribute and +5% break tackle chance, you would have about the same attribute bonus as having four standard EQ and +70%ish break tackle chance (under optimal conditions anyways, figure ~25 upgrades worth of bonus tokens over your career if you're stingy with them).

Hmmm, all my break tackle pieces are just +%. I'm thinking that looking and looking for more pieces will hurt the chances of actually starting the upgrades with intense training, ya know? I potentially could be +43% at level 40, should I just stay that course and not get greedy?

+43% at L40 sounds pretty good to me. I'd stick with keeping 3 upgraded, and if you find you have extra BTs at some point, shop then. Shopping will be more effective later in your career anyway.

Here's the thing with having so many pieces of AEQ...

Once past level 32, your EQ will need upgrades every 1.8 seasons or so and you'll be lucky to earn 2.5 worth of AEQ upgrades in bonus tokens each season. So with 3 pieces of AEQ to work on, you can actually gain ground and probably one day have them all fully upgraded. With 4 pieces of AEQ, whatever you're short at level 32 in upgrades is pretty much what you'll be short at the end of your career, since you'll be lucky just to keep pace on upgrades and you will not gain any ground.

Now, your total amount of upgrades will pretty much be static (so a +% chance or +SA will stay static), the number of +attribute is what suffers (when measured up against a piece of standard EQ)... thus, if you happen to land sweet +attribute pieces that also happen to have an additional bonus, you basically gain the additional bonus for free... even if you do not fully upgrade it.

For example, let's look at three level 64 players. One has 2 pieces, another has 3 pieces and the third has 4 pieces of AEQ. All are level 70 with 200 bonus tokens (which leaves roughly 100 shopping tokens over a player's career)...

Player A

Head: +9 attribute, +23% chance (or +5 SA)
Feet: +9 attribute, +23% chance (or +5 SA)
Hands: +9 attribute
Chest: +9 attribute

Totals: +36 attribute, +46% chance (or +10 SA)
Notes: 56 extra bonus tokens

Player B

Head: +9 attribute, +23% chance (or +5 SA)
Feet: +8 attribute, +21% chance (or +5 SA)
Hands: +8 attribute, +21% chance (or +5 SA)
Chest: +9 attribute

Totals: +34 attribute, +65% chance (or +15 SA)
Notes: 0 extra bonus tokens, 2 upgrades short

Player C

Head: +7 attribute, +19% chance (or +4 SA)
Feet: +6 attribute, +17% chance (or +4 SA)
Hands: +6 attribute, +17% chance (or +4 SA)
Chest: +6 attribute, +17% chance (or +4 SA)

Totals: +25 attribute, +69% chance (or +16 SA)
Notes: 0 extra bonus tokens, 11 upgrades short

As you can see, under most conditions, 3 pieces is probably the best route... barring extreme luck when shopping (which might allow you to sneak in a couple more upgrades and make the 4 piece route more attractive). The more base +3 attribute items you roll the more attractive multiple pieces become as well, from a +attribute stand-point.

Thanks for this. I think I'm just going to work on the three I have, and if I happen to have a few BTs later I'll see if I can't upgrade!
