The problem with trying to build a pass rushing DT is that you have to have high strength and agility to be successful at higher levels. This means you have to wait until after level 30 before you can really start working on speed. Then you are behind in getting it up for a long while and by the time you get it where you need, you will probably be level 56 or higher, and at that point it needs to be 80 minimum, with over 62 vision, 50 confidence, 50 stamina, and some SAs.

Massive hurries, no sacks seems normal at around level 40-45, even with a 70 spd DT all i can get is hurries, but hey its something.

Your DC is going to have to blitz players to take the blocks off you to get consistent sacks. Thats not always best for the team so not a lot of teams are willing to do that.

The sim changed. Very rarely does the DT go free anymore. Blitzing now gets safeties and LBs sacks more than DTs. My DT that got tons of sacks from blitzing last season now gets most of his when the team doesn't blitz.

Yeah..it's pretty normal. Who knows next season, it will the DT's glory year again.

DTs are dieing take a look at the percents its like 1.3 per team right now I expect the to be some love soon or owners are going to start raising some shit

The basic pass rushing mechanics of DTs seems ok to me, Bort just needs to program it in so that QBs step up in the pocket when they're feeling pressure from the DEs. That would lead to more DT sacks.
