what the hell is with all that shutdown coverage? do they really play that much man to man? does that defense work.=?

imo Shutdown Coverage = waste of SPs for a FS, who will be playing MUCH more zone than man-to-man on any team with a decent DC.

Also, i asked bort and got a direct response a few seasons ago asking if maybe man2man shutdown coverage kicked in when a WR entered a FS's zone where the FS would start to cover him and Bort said it still wouldn't work unless he was in man2man from the start of the play design. I thought it might've been a loophole where the the sim treated it like man coverage but it doesn't. Don't know a ton of FS's that play more man than zone

So unless he's playing man2man every other play there is no point
