Why in peewee leagues do I see teams scrutinizing the QB rush so much? I can assure you that the QB rush is a very effective play and that you can NOT shut it down. Be my guest and give it a try, but a balanced offense that incorporates the QB run is going to be more effective than one that doesn't. If there is really a team that uses their backup rushing QB only on rushing plays they deserve to be shot. Please god come out in a SS/FS outside blitz man coverage defense every play just because my backup QB is in, I'll tear you to shreds. Every single play in GLB has its advantages against certain defenses, their is no "useless" or "easily stopped" play because their should be no way for a team to know which play you are running. There are going to be exposed parts of every defense you make that given the right play call could lead to a touchdown without even a single missed tackle, lets not forget that some plays are designed to alternate between losing a yard and going for a touchdown. Even the best outside QB rush defense is going to give up big plays to a 99% QB roll out offense, because missed tackles do happen. My point is, stop hating on people for using the QB rush just because you hate the fact that you have to adjust every defensive play you make to prevent it from being exposed to it. This game, when played at its best, is a very complicated one which should never be brought down to such simplistic and obviously wrong generalizations.

When you say you will tear us to shreds, which of the 5000 teams are you representing?

So because you have no valid point or argument you choose to attempt to attack me personally, how mature of you.

Personal attack? You have in your sig "Grammar Police". Can you explain to me what part of When you say you will tear us to shreds, which of the 5000 teams are you representing? is the personal attack? I'm just curious to which of the teams on your profile page your representing here since you seem so peeved about something.

1) thanks for the Wall-o-text

2) In the lower leagues if teams don't know how to play D you can run QB Rollouts all day long (and some piss poor OC's have worked out all they have to do is run QB rollouts all game long to win games). [Until they stumble across a half decent team and get snapped].

3) Both outside and inside QB runs are easy to stop (will one bust it out every so often, sure ...with a missed tackle or two any play in the playbook will do that, even the dreaded SG Draw or SG Outside handoff).

4) QB Runs do have their place in an offense, and if the opposing defense is leaving something open then it should be taken advantage of. The stigma of running a 99-100% QB run offense is (why... you can't scout, you can't figure out how to win with something else.... its the same as people complaining about teams that ran SI-Slam 100% of the time).

5) I don't have to adjust my DPC"s, their fine thanks for your concern.

6) Who the hell called out rushing QB's anyway?

7) I hate FB's!!!! (there that should get them their own thread crying about how a 100% FB run offense is useful).

8)Your the grammar police and you throw out a wall-o-text?

I am not peeved I was just trying to make conversation, sometimes its fun to talk about more than the game I just watched and the one I plan to spend the next few hours game planning for.

I said attacking me personally, meaning that you are going to attempt to bring me and my team down as opposed to staying on topic.

Finally, I went ahead and ran a quick scout on both of the teams you represent and find you to show pretty healthy average on the QB rush.

7.85 and 12.1 yards per QB rush to be exact. Getting 9 and 5 total touchdowns in just your regular season games.

Teams
No teams owned.

You don't own a team, nor did you make reference to one... how is he attacking your team.

1) I apologize for that, I didn't really think about it, I understand it is annoying and harder to read.
2) They are only pisspoor if they allow themselves to lose because they fail to see a teams capability of stopping their offense. Running a QB run based offense against a team having showed a completely incapable defense is in no way piss poor however.
3) Once again, they are not easy to stop, did you even read the post? What validity do you offer besides merely stating the opposite of my "wall of text" in a simple sentence?
4) I was only using the 99% QB Rush offense as an exaggerated example, I was clearly advocating a balanced offense in my post.
5) Where did I suggest that you could change anything? I clearly was only making a post for the sake of discussing the effectiveness of the QB rush within an offense.
6) If you really want me to, I can show you no less than 20 post on just this seasons Copper League forums that call out the QB rush offense, including your own.
7) If you want to criticize someone every time they try to spark up conversation be my guest... You are only promoting a completely and utterly boring forum.
8) Reminds me of #1 for some reason? I am part of a private forum where we entertain ourselves by correcting each others grammar, however, my "Wall of text" is hardly a grammar issue. It may be a forum etiquette issue, but it is certainly not mentioned anywhere in any Grammar lesson I've had. Did I use bad grammar in my post? Most likely... but it is most certainly better than a good portion of the post in this forum.

Your never going to completely shut them down, your never going to run 100% Qb rollouts and rushes either. We use them just as much as the next guy. Never argued that. Just wanted to know which pee wee team you are representing since your a DC for a couple. Found that kind of odd. You can't shut it down completely but you can make stops against it. If you make enough of them when a team is QB rushing heavy, your going to win more than likely. Scouted a game earlier where a team ran dozens of QB rushes inside and out and they lost.

Seems you came online with the intent to argue. When asked a simple question you got offended and went on the offensive. We ran a scrimmage earlier this season where that's all we ran, http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=981826
When a defense leaves them wide open all game long, yeah you run them all game long. I do agree with you on the subject, they are very effective.

I didn't want to argue I wanted to have a discussion and got met with a bunch of meaningless post, forgive me for reading to much in to your question, I did not however reference any team in my post and I don't represent any team with my statements only my opinion.

How is it strange for me to be involved with multiple teams? I have a lot of spare time and I want to keep myself busy.

I don't need to own a team for it to be "my" team. This is "my" country, this is "my" hometown, this is "my" girlfriend. Do I own any of them?

Validity = http://goallineblitz.com/game/team.pl?team_id=7531

I'm sure you might find a couple of examples of where QB runs got through my defense (first two games when my guys are lacking SP's and I'm making adjustments from last seasons positioning don't really count), so basically you have to rely on a missed tackle (or a positioning issue, which I correct).

So yeah, they are easy to stop... if they weren't easy to stop then why wouldn't every gold team run them over and over and over and over and over and over and over (getting my point) and over again! ....why, cause they are easy to stop.
