What do you think is a good tackling to stop at for a NT? I figured capping at either the 62 or 68 cap would be best. What are your guys opinions on this? I'm close to finishing my NT's Agility at 74 cap so I figured Tackling to 68 would be my next move.

If you're playing on wrap up I don't believe you need to go that high...if you're playing on power though...I would definitely push to 68,,,

74 is where I'm going. I also took agility to 77. It's 80+ now.

Well I'm building him to just be a lane clogger that takes on double teams with power tackling. I already have his strength at a 83 natural so I wasn't sure if taking agility to 77 would cost too much and affect my tackling which I was thinking of taking to 68.

I'm thinking of doing that also. Maybe I'll just have to sacrifice speed.

68 Tackling is not enough to play on Power unless you dont mind missing a lot of tackles. i have a NT with 68 Tackling in Minors and when he was on Power he missed a lot of tackles. in higher level leagues it would be even worse. i havent missed any tackles when i dropped down to Balanced though.

I'm sure having strength at 120+ with 80+ agility will help the Tackling but maybe your right.

I want my guy to force fumbles and it looks like balanced hasn't helped your guy get much.

I had tackling @ 68 on my old NT, and it didn't seem to be necessary...

It's not cut and dry with DTs.

Higher tackling helps you attempt and make more tackles while being blocked. This can also lead to more missed tackles. The thing is you at least slow down the HB where you wouldn't have otherwise.

On the other hand, because DTs typically have more strength and agility than other defensive players, and the added weight, high tackling isn't as needed when making a tackle when he isn't being blocked.

So you have to decide if it is more beneficial to add more tackling, or add more to other attributes that will help beat blockers.
