If you already have about 70 strength and carrying (each) but still fumble more than you'd like, is Cover Up going to help much? I currently have 0 in there as I'd concentrated on the elusive tree, but getting it up to 4 or 5 is pretty cheap. Worth it?

Yes, cover up helps and is worth it, iMO.

a few cover up couldn't hurt, but if your confidence is low, i'd look at that too.

The 6 SP that gets you to 4 in Cover Up are worth it for any running back IMO.

Confidence determines fumbles.
That's why every good tackling modifier has morale related or attached to it.

His confidence isn't great or bad, almost capped. I could cap confidence and get 4 Cover Up over the next couple levels. Sounds like a good plan since he is pretty well rounded.
