This was an accidental scrimmage and I still lost by a decent amount, but I was expecting a Cap-14 team to pulverize me, but I made a heck of a come back in the 2nd half. How the heck did this happen? Their team seemed to turn into a bad Pee-Wee team in the 2nd half.

Given the fact that it didn't happen until it was 66-0, I'd say this:

Ah, didn't know that existed. Makes perfect sense now.

So apparently once cruise control kicks in it stays on? Too bad they didn't score faster, if CC had kicked in during the second quarter you could have won that game.

Yet another reason cruise control is a terrible idea.

Yeah that would be an embarrassment to GLB

Especially considering that team did a bit of SSB and has been destroying other cap 14s.

With the new stat keeping. CC kills dominate teams.

It would almost be worth an experiment--have a mediocre/bad high level team and a good pee wee team do a friendly. At the start of the game, the high level team will score every time they touch the ball; but when CC kicks in, the pee wee team should begin to dominate like Gerr's Bears did in the game above. If the level difference were great enough, CC should kick in during the first quarter.

I wonder, if the pee wee team ever went up by 60+, would cruise control kick in and raise their stats to the level of the high level team?

I've seen a few peewees beat shitty cap 13s in the past. Those games were late in the season after the peewee builds had come around. The cap 13s were not SBs, just real poor recruit jobs.

Did you lose?

Nope, my peewee teams are 2-0 against cap 13 (one was half CPU, half lvl. 14-16 players and the other a slowbuild) and when my team was cap 13 we never played a peewee.

Hmm...Its the cruise control thing, but thats one of, if not THE best team in cap 14 right now. Seems strange that it would be that close

It lowers it to right above the stats of the players, meaning that if you are better you stay better, the game went the way it did because of a pretty decent game plan and some interesting miscues. If you really believe that CC makes that much of a difference watch some games that start 60-0 and watch about 99.5% of them continue on to go to be 255-0ish beatings!

I own the level 14 team and I still dont know that CC explains it all. There were scoring plays where their HBs and QBs were outrunning my whole defense for HUGE TD runs. And that was after running right past defenders that just stood still and didnt even try to make a tackle.
I have trouble saying it was CC unless CC only kicks in with teams from different levels (14 vs PW, 38 vs 22, etc). Most of us have demolished a gutted team or an ssb team 255-0. This was not gutted team, but the CC theory says that a team should play like a team of level 2 or 3s. IMO that doesn't happen, a team would be able to score 190 more points and still shut out the opponent.
Too bad Bort just sits around collecting his $$ instead of explaining all the in and outs of his game.
