Assuming that rosters are fixed from this point and that there will be no boosting, there will be 15 players in the BBB#6 effected by the new rules brought in by Bort this offseason regarding EXP. That is to say a penalty if you are at the leagues median plus 8. Our leagues median is currently 10. These players are for everyones interest To be honest I'm not sure about the level 18 guys on the list cause it wasn't clear if it would kick in when you are 8 levels higher than the median or at a later date

Bob Sanders 20 SS Atlanta Dirtybirds (USA BBB #6 Western Conference)
OOGA BOOGA 19 C Chocolate City Cha Chings (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Peter Espersen 19 FB Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Lucky Luciano 19 WR Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Charlie Moore 19 C North Carolina Nudists (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Michael Rodriguez 19 SS Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Brad Solmes 19 OT Gotham City Punishers (USA BBB #6 Western Conference)
Fat Babboo 18 DE Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Al Capone 18 WR Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
assss cxza 18 P Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Alex Henning 18 LB Miami Brawlers (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Ace Iverson 18 CB Chicago Storm (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Nathan James 18 LB Chicago Storm (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Kevin Millwide 18 DT Chocolate City Cha Chings (USA BBB #6 Eastern Conference)
Harley Petit 18 TE Gotham City Punishers (USA BBB #6 Western Conference)
Ubiqui Toss 18 FS Louisiana Ragin Cajuns (USA BBB #6 Western Conference)

There is evidently an exception/buffer of three players on a team 'mentoring'. If I read the notes correctly.

I am just wondering what the penalties are? Don't level up as quick?

The other thing I believe people are missing is that if you have high level players, your whole team isn't going to suddenly start playing like autistic donkeys.

My understanding is that there is a hit to the XP gain your player will get as a result of being in a lower league (Not the whole team, just your player). I didn't see anything in there (Unless I missed it) about a hit in performance, just XP gain. No complaints here, as the highest level on my team is 17.

They only thing I don't like about this rule is Bort didn't really open up teams higher then the BBB when he expanded. So, if you purchased a team, like I did, and didn't win the championship and are still in the BBB your still taking the hit. I can accept it if it means that it will scare people from cheating.

I love the fact that you took the effort to name out each player that this rule effects. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that you don't have any high level guys and you are trying to cause the high level guys to become unhappy because of this rule.

It also doesn't take effect for Season 3. Bort is planning to look at how things shake out over the year and the actual effects of 'sportsmanship' and adjust etc for Season 4 when this will go into effect.

Oh no I don't wanna cause unhappiness I was just looking and I decided to copy and paste from the search to show how it would effect from our league. In fact I decided to go to the trouble of of calculating it so I figured I might as well aid transparency regarding this upcoming rule change.

I'd no information when I posted this about whether it would come in to effect this season or next season. Most probably the sportsmanship changes will ensure that noone in this league will be effected.

I thought it was only for free agent signings?

It will effect everyone but if you stay on a team it increases sportsmanship which negates the penalty to a certain extent or raises the amount above the limit that you need to be before it effects you. At least thats my understanding from reading the announcement

Read the updates. It's not in effect this this season. And it won't have much effect on teams like mine that don't sign new players to their team unless I lose someone.

I thought I edited this post to make it go away but the forum was acting up last night.

I'm very sorry, I overreacted in haste and assumed you were just being a dick when that obviously wasn't your intention.

No worries I can see how you would think that, to be honest I was a little worried that any parity thing would effect Portland cause we were on of the top teams in the west last regular season, so I worked out who was in danger with the idea as it was presented at the time, which had no sportsmanship or no mention of it being for season 4 in the announcement.

At which point I decided to share with the conference to show that people shouldn't worry it only effects maximum 15 out of 1460 players on our league

Wrong read the update again. It WILL be in effect this season just not at the beginning. It will effect your team. Its not just about signing new players. How it was explained to me (by Bort) is that it will allow you to have a couple of players (2-3) above the cap line, these will be the mentors. If they boost it will effect you, if you have more than the a lotted number it will effect you.
