the season is getting closer, and im waiting for day 1 to spend them. on a de and dt, where should i put them? pretty sure i'll put them on strength for dt, but what about the de? what would make my player the best

well, that depends.
if during the offseason you where normal training on STR for the DT and whatever you decided to spec the DE's you should be around 30 in that main attribute. it would be okay to drop your SP's into it while your training bar is above 90% then switch to intense for the others.
the math at that point says 4 days of normal training will get you a point, where as if you drop in four days you will get your first level and .67 or .5 respectively and be in possition to cap it with optimum training percent allready staged.
if you have been training on intense you definatley want to wait for the 30/ 90% timeframe before you drop so day 1 is not a good idea
