How useful is a WR with 80 strength, 60 blocking, 75 speed, 75 agility, 60 catching, by around level 35? Would he be a good run blocker in theory? A useless receiver ?

He'd be a good blocker. He wouldn't be a great start to a premier strength receiver as you've neglected attributes which get good early level up gains in favor of those that do not.

Depending on where you put your equipment, he could be very good.

Gotta be a SSB with maxed out equipment.

I don't think that would be very effective. Strength and blocking don't auto level, so you would have to use a shit ton of training or sp's to make this guy.

A power WR can be effective (see Cassius Clay). The blocking is a waste. A WR will block one man on a run play the CB, who is usually lacking strength / tackling anyway.

Go ahead and pump the strength up, and instead of blocking match it with carrying. Find two power thru AEQ's and.....presto, you have the Christian Okoye of wide outs.

You just gotta make sure you don't run into Atwater cause he ends football careers. Okoye didn't know what hit him and he was never the same after that.

WR's dont ever "Lead Block" unless they are in the FB position, i just make fast WR's and add strength as they age out a little...ive never ahd a problem with strength @ the 1st cap for any purpose

I would think a high strength/agility/carrying build with a good bit of quick cut and sticky hands would work pretty well.

I say that if you want a blocking WR you want strength and blocking to be pretty low compared to what you are saying.... if you have too much strength you will pancake the blockee and he can get up after a few tics and make a tackle... if blocking is high enough (mine is around 30) he can hold blocks long enough to let the RB/QB go by. The goal is to create that wall of defenders that get in their own way. We have a rough time getting our FB/HB out on the LBs and holding their blocks, but our WRs hold quite well!
