WASHINGTON EXTREME

The Washington Extreme managed to do what no other NFL team as been able to accomplish in the 42 years of Superbowls.In only the 2nd season in BORTBOWL,the Extreme shutout the Chicago Mustangs 30-0...
So a feat like this would most definately turn many heads and at the minimum,create a BUZZ around the Extreme right?
Wrong!Not only were they predicted by the majority of "goallineblitz" users to be eliminated each and every round all the way to the championship game,but this team according to many popular voting polls,don't even have any all stars worth being on the ballot with the exception of R.L.Campbell who got a meager 10% vote!
So lets just find out,how good the Extreme really are?
1)They had 4 shutouts in season 2,including the Championship game...(which was 2nd place in the Western Conference behind Detroit Dumptrucks ,who had 6 total)
2)As an Offense the Extreme averaged 33 points a game with 526 points accumulated during the regular season 16 games....During the Playoffs they averaged 29 points per game over the 4 game stretch against higher seeds and all of those games on the road!
3)Their Defense is greatly unappreciated as they only allowed 20 points or more in just 3 games during the regular season(Saints,trucks,athletics)and then only once again, against that same Athletics team in the Playoffs who they defeated 28-24 and which would be the only team to challenge the Extreme in that whole playoff series!
So I could go on and on about stats,but the point is really this...
The Washington Extreme have said from the ownership on down to the players,that they want to be identified as a team!They have managed to do so on both sides of the ball and now have a BortBowl Trophy in their trophy case to show what teamwork can accomplish....
It would be wise for the rest of the USA Pro League to take notice,because this team seems to have figured out what it takes to win the Championship after their loss to the Detroit Dump Trucks in Season one Playoff (Semi-finals) 23-17...
One thing is certain and can't be ignored!This Extreme team is a well oiled machine that consistently plays well,even when they lose...
They are under great ownership by Switchgear,who seems to have his players playing for him...
They may not ever be that team that goes 15-1 or 14-2 and just sweep the conference,but they will always be in one of those 8 finals slots,that are required for your team to make the postseason!
...And I think we know now,what they are capable of when they reach that position!
