for a safety, im finishing off equipment on my team, trying to figure out which equip to get for everyone, right now im leaning towards getting 2 equipments with shutdown coverage for each of my corners, and 1 equip with vision and 1 with closing speed for each safety, trying to get others imput and see what results they have had with their equip

im thinking shutdown coverage is kinda a waste for safteys when they play mostly 2 deep, man under type defense, and im usually way overmatched in levels so some closing speed might help stop a few tds, but im a pretty big fan of the superior vision ability

let me know what u guys think

Superior Vision is #1 SA for a coverage SS. IMO

First step, super vision, and closing speed are the best IMO. I have my 1 FS with 1 AEQ piece in First step, and another in super vision. I have an equal leveled SS with 2 pieces of closing speed. It'll be interesting to see how they work this coming season.

I dont' care much for first step on safeties. Super vision is great and imo should definitely be 10 (with aeq). I think Closing speed is fantastic for those in deep zones who also want to be a factor in run support and help stop short passes.

id take change direction over first step

IMO, for a pass coverage focused FS playing primarily zone defense, SV is #1, Closing Speed is #2.

Love em both for my zone safeties. They're both especially good in zone imo
