So, which way would you guys suggest for a brand new power back?

I was thinking of..
1. softcapping strength
2. 2nd capping strength
3. softcapping carrying
4. strength to 77
5. carrying to 68
6. speed, agility, vision and suchlike

My main trouble is the training. The only reasonable intense combo with this plan is strength+carrying, once I cap strength.. should I go for normal carrying training or should I go for some combo, carrying + confidence maybe?

I was having the same problem coming up with a gameplan for the training, I was thinking of just sticking with str/carry until Im ready to cap carry, then switching to carry confidence. Then once I get str and carry to 3rd cap when training str or carry is kinda pointless I was just planning on training speed/agility, so that I dont get too far behind on them. But I'm also open to any better suggestions that someone might have.

waiting that long to train speed and agility will be harmful..

If you are trying to be effective in your early years yea. I probably should have prefaced by saying I am on a farm team where I can get a ton of snaps no matter what and Am gonna slow build for the first couple of season before I really start trying to shape my back.

This is a good discussion thus far. I am gonna make my first HB for the start of Season 14. I am leaning towards the Power Back role and I need all the info I can get. Hopefully by then I will know exactly what I want to do.

Waste of SP and natural gains taking carrying up second.

i would take str to 77 whilst training STR/carry then move to carry/conf (or carry and stock up on tokens) then take carry to 68 or 73 depends if you want to sacrifice speed for tackle breaking ability.. then move on to speed/agility

as much as i love having high carrying on my power back, do strength - speed first.

if you are going to wait that long on speed, you may as well make a FB. Save some FPs and get much better natural gains to STR, CAR, and AGI.

I think 77 is to high for strength, if you get it to 68 you can still be at 100 around lvl 35 with eq. your going to need to much speed, agility, and carrying to go to 77 but thats jmo.

I'm going with STR to 68 while intense training speed/agility as my first build step. Not a true slow-build however, because I'm not training the strength attribute before adding SP to it. However, I am holding SP to take advantage of level gains.

Im making a pure bruiser. Im training STR/CAR until i hit natural 80 in STR. Then CAR/CONF until I get CAR to natural 70. Then SPD/AGI dropping lvl SP and Bonus training SP into CONF until 60. All SP to SPD, then AGI, then VIS. Then Ill have two amazing seasons lol. Patience is a virtue
