Playoff Exam round 1
1. Lincoln Navigators vs. Belfast Commandos
-Supposedly Lincoln is in the finals of the GLB addicts tournament. According to the rules you only have 3 days from the time you know your match to schedule. Your opponent can call you out. They both may be disqualified if Stobie decides to enforce his rules. Anyways, I’d kind of like to see Lincoln schedule the game before Bort adds Coaches so I can win 5000 flex.
This week they take their undefeated record and declining dots against some team nobody has ever heard of. They’re called the streakers or something. Personally, I don’t think a team essentially full of 70s will win WL, but the decline has shown to be absolutely no match for the dominant Navigators. Can Lincoln survive another day of decline?
2. Mayan Prophecy vs. Cincinnati Shockers
-Mayan has been more transient than a fugitive. SLAP to CPL etc has Prophecy fans with plenty of miles to sped on flights. Mayan only tried to win games the first two thirds of the season before they wanted to meditate and prepare for the playoffs. This included their week 16 loss to Cincy.
Cincy was led by their usual suspects this season in Young, Orangeblood and Rabid Hellion. Orangeblood surprisingly edged Johnny Rocketarm in MVP conference voting.
The Shockers were once the “consensus” top ranked team in GLB so they obviously know how to win big games. Will Mayan gameplan this time around; will they be able to keep residency in the WL, or will they opt for a change of scenery?
3.The Incumbents vs. Marblehead
-shazamazahs, Owner of Jericho Brooks will be remembered as the greatest WR dot builder ever. Over 2000 yards and 66 TDs against the greatest CBs in the World speaks for itself. This matchup will be against one the top CBs ever in Antonio Lopez. This primetime matchup has all of the celebrities in town to see the game live. Obama, Tiger, Lebron, Brad Pitt, Arod and Mayweather Jr. all reserved luxury suites. The defense may overcompensate for the greatness of Jericho and leave Jedi and Dooley to steal the show. Will the Champs game plan for a game on a Saturday night? Probably not, but will it matter when you have Darth Rocketarm, Jedi, Jericho and Dooley all on the same team?
4. Monmouth Evil Monkeys vs. Singapore Flames
-Jimmy Johnston won MVP again this year? AggieRN has been awfully quiet this season. wait!! was Jimmy Johnston created by a female nurse?
5. Three Kingdom Warriors vs. Drinkin Hellraisers
-we have seen this before. Drinkin takes the lolgameplanforregular season to the edge of hell. They were a last minute 8 seed thanks to a MPHD win over Dakar week 16. last season Drinkin tried against Cincy and pulled off the upset. This season will be just as tough going up against Three Kingdom. 3KW will be ready behind Datongw’s leadership. He has the troops reminiscing of an old championship from back in the day http://www.spike.com/video/complete-bud-bowl-3/2689154
Will Bud Bowl tactics or Heart of a champion VA win out?
6. Machu Picchu Hidden Dragons vs. Honolulu Hurricane Warriors
-The first game earlier in the lolregular season was controlled fairly easily by Machu Picchu. However, MPHD immediately went into the tank whereas HHW got their wakeup call and improved their game and played steady dotball all season after their loss. Will MPHD be able to reclaim their early season magic and take down the defending conference champs?
7. Bonn Dynamo vs. Santiago Benitos
-Bonn gave their fans an early season scare similar to HHW with a few early season losses. However, they showed why they were largely considered the best team in GLB last season until Drygerian was able to dethrone them. Their management righted the ship and Bonn started massacring teams again including a win over the Benitos.
Santiago had a fairly volatile season but that was to be expected in the ridiculously loaded Zeta conference. Every week was seemingly a game of the year type matchup for most of the conference Their management of Havoc, krille and wolfdoctor took advantage of their team captain and WL defensive MVP MLB Buster Stone. Can Buster force enough fumbles to upset Bonn?
8. New Jersey Blaze vs. Stewart Ballers
-New Jersey entered WL and made an immediate splash with an unthinkable win over the defending champs Drygerian. They showcased a high powered offense with superstar WRs led by Ghetto Heisman and a crazy built level 59 RB in Mamadu Hawkins. Everything was on cruise control and there were talks of NJB going 20-0. however, the WL being the ultimate maze ended up humbling the Blaze as Bonn regained their form and gave New Jersey a Loss in a shootout.
The Blaze also were tagged against Dakar in defeat. In fact Dakar beat 3 playoff teams but didn’t survive Zetas death maze. NJB ended the season strong and signed RB Cooter Splitter. No comments from Mamadu yet, but this had to be a locker room distraction.
The Ballers basically had one of those seasons where they beat the teams you thought they would and lost to the same. They did play New Jersey extra close week 2 which adds intrigue for a 3 vs. 6 matchup.
Can Cooter and Mamadu share the rock to get NJB the win?
