Does anyone have a good experience with it? Anybody notice a drop off in kicking when it should be active? Just curious if anyone has made a long kick to win a game with it or missed a short kick when it should be active.

I think there's better options that work more often, or all of the time, than Laces Out. Just doesn't seem worth it to me.

My Kicker has 15 in Laces Out but he missed the potential game winning FG recently, although it was a 65.5 yard attempt.

I think it's a good fourth option after maxing out soccer star, clutch and booming kick

Really, even if it gives you less kicking accuracy and power than you would have without it?

Just because you have a theory that that happens doesn't mean it's true. Laces out doesn't guarantee that you make every FG to tie or win the game, it just improves your odds.

Have you ever made or missed a field goal using Laces out. That is the question. It is apparently not very good because the only two people in the kicking forum that have it have missed the potential game winner.

Would you think something may be wrong if you missed a game winning field goal from 19.5 yards from the middle of the field when your kicker hadn't missed from that distance since his 1st season. Kicker was 40/40 on the season 5/5 from 50+. He just happens to miss from 19.5 when hes got a 45% increase in accuracy and 15% increase in power.

I'm just looking for a few other data points.

Honestly, and I've said this before, Laces Out simply doesn't have an effect often enough to be better than other things like HoaC, Clutch, Swagger, Soccer Star, Hometown Hero.

That said - bort's testing process sucks to the nth degree. I wouldn't doubt if half the SAs and VAs don't work properly or even at all.

of the handful of times it would have procced, my kicker made the kicks anyway. glad i didnt waste 15 VA points in it

So Which Vet ability should points be put in first?

I'd say booming kick. It appears to work from what I've seen.

Booming Kick Def works quite well.

I wish we could get more people to chime in on winning kicks. I thought they happened all the time, but apparently not.

Hey Chappy, if you really want to pursue this my suggestion is trying to get your own test setup. It would be a ton of work, but seems to me AI could be put into place that keeps the score 0-0 until the 4th quarter, and then have the kickers go at it. Reset your LO at the beginning of the season, run a bunch of games like that, then add laces out and do it again.

I think Laces Out is one of those clutch-type of VAs. Yes, most of the time it is not applicable but when it is, damn, you really want those bonuses and there is no better clutch-ability. Well, maybe Clutch itself but that is vague so we don't really know.

I've had it at 10 or 12 last season and twice I came up with a few game winners in the closing seconds:

The second was was cool because I had to kick two in the final two minutes to win.

Anyway, yes, it doesn't trigger often but when it does the bonuses provided are better than anything. I maxed Swagger, Booming Kick and am now splitting between Clutch and Laces Out. If you have a dominating team then LO is not as good, of course. If you tend to keep it close LO is awesome.

I would speak with your Off Coor to see what his AI is - if you have lots of Clutch and Laces Out make sure he has it set to trigger a long FG attempt in the 4th quarter rather than punt or go for it.
