Not sure if my HB will ever make it up to WL (probably not), but at what point can I stop investing in speed equipment for him?

When speed is 100? 110? 120? never?

As long as your supporting attributes and SAs are at a decent level, there is no such thing as enough speed.

125 total imo is enough, plan for that and then max out agility, carrying, and elusive SAs...

Why even should that be a limit? Iknow lineman get a greater level up bonus to their major attribute, but you'd never see them limiting a major attribute to 125.

Take my WR for example, if I hadn't taken his natural agility all the way to 77 and put all his equipment in speed, he'd have close to 130 speed at level 48.

You only get so many points. imo you can get speed to 125, agility to about 85 iirc, carrying to about 65, soft capped strength, confidence, vision, 40+ jumping & catching, and max out the elusive skill tree. this is not of course the only way to build but imo it's not really ideal to raise speed over 81 or 77 (early) - you get more benefit to using those SP in other places. of course i've seen very good backs that have more than that, but the question is what is *enough*. not what's the maximum.
