Should be pretty clear that he's built as a blocking back. He doesn't seem particularly effective, wracking up almost no pancakes, and generally being outrun by the HB

is it as simple as more focus on speed now?

Probably not. Catching him up at this point is virtually impossible. I'd just start over as opposed to putting any more flex into him.

You'd be surprised with the mediocre builds that can actually perform. I've got a FB myself not too far off from this build, except that he's focused offensively atm and not as a blocker. (Mainly involves switching VA & EQ)

Agility is the biggest problem area. If you could get agility to 70, speed to 73, and split EQ between strength and speed, I think you'll see him perform a bit better.

TGP is right about one thing though - the mileage you'll get out of him won't be very good. You can improve him, but enough to make a difference for Winona? I doubt it, tbh.

Needs more blocking even imo. People underestimate blocking in high level FBs, you're not going to go around pancaking players left and right and you need to hold blocks for more than one tick. I'd seriously work on third capping agility and move a piece of strength eq to probably speed, depending on whether he's being outrun by the HB. If you can do that he can at least be of some use.

Sure thing, sorry I didn't do this before, I thought it was readily obvious.

1. He's 372 days old. He's got 28 season days of continuing improvement followed by 40 days where he plateaus, followed by his decline. Therefore, if you boost, you've at most got 3 boosts from this season (assuming you haven't boosted yet), 3 next and maybe another level up or to. So that's 8 levels or 40 SP.

2. 40 SP is not nearly enough to get his Strength, Agility and Blocking where it needs to be. IMO, str and agi should both be over 80 natural, and blocking should be close behind.

3. My level 32 whom I'm retiring this season has more (natural) strength, agility and about equal blocking. Higher level slow builds I'm sure are right behind Saunders.

To sum up, it's not that anything is wrong, per se, it's that he wasn't slow built. FBs get decent level gains in str/agi/blk/Car. Your FB didn't take advantage of that at the low levels and now is paying for it at the high levels.
