Probably the most irritating change that's been made to date for me. After seasons of building my LB for a specific role while sacrificing so many things, after putting my own money and time in to him, he's completely irrelevant and can't even get to the other side of the LOS unless we're playing a gutted team.

Anyone having any luck this season with blitzing LB's.

I've seen some, they are higher strength guys blitzing straight up the middle. But they're like anybody else...pressure, but not many sacks.

DEs are getting sacks OK this season, but LB sacks are incredibly rare.

I've noticed this also but I thought it was my crappy build at the next level up.

I'd love to be motivated by some success stories

My D wouldnt be complete without blitzing LBs, i still see success with an overload blitz on weakside or strongside, especially with an already good DE, bring the OLB outside of him and if the pass play is not a short pass your gonna get there.
Not many ppl make a good blitzing OLB though, its not all about speed.

ROLB on my team, minors uncapped, lowest level starter on team at level 39, had two sacks in our 1 loss against much higher level competition, and 1 sack in a 16-14 victory, nothing in a 3rd competitve game....small sample size thanks to bad competition.

He's been alright. He doesn't blitz every down though mostly just on 3rd and long. Also the DE's usually get the sack before he can.

I'm not saying it's easy, but it is possible to get pressure against fairly decent competition with the ROLB. Yes I know some of the games were blowouts, but quite a few of them were against equal level competition.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=846019 3 sacks this game.
Think its good for a close game? OR just shit O-Line.

Meh tell me what you think about my players stats for that game.

Also in pre season games he forced 2 fumbles on which his team lost by atleast 40 points

Anyone at Pro Level?

the Tackles end up picking up the LB's on almost every blitz, and they let the DE's loose...pressure is still good, but the LB's arent getting the glory anymore.

Sucks when your player is in his prime and this sort of thing happens. My LB has 18 into "Big Sack" and he had been good for about 2 FF each game. Now he is not touching the QB and is being wasted.

still a great career, but I wanted him to have a great finish with a Pro MVP trophy. He has been top 3 many times, but has never gotten a team or personal trophy.

Check the sack totals.

Yes, they screwed the blitzing linebacker big time in s12. Watching the actual plays is painful.
