How useful is fake chance? By the price tag it must be good.

I think it is good if you stack it with the quick feet VA.

Does the fake chance percentage only apply to the head fake and juke SA's?

i read the wiki but still can't quite understand if this type of eq is worthwhile. does the % increase with each upgrade? does the effectiveness of the eq depend on the SA's in the receiver?

You get a +2% increase each upgrade. The effectiveness of the EQ does depend on the SA's to some extent.

Biggest issue with WR is catching the ball in enough space to actually execute a fake.

Yep, as I understand it, the +% chance equipment/VAs act as a multiplier for your base chance to do some activity, i.e., total chance = base chance * (1 + modifier).

So, I *think* this is how it works: if you have a 50% chance to fake someone, adding a +10% piece of fake eq makes your chance 55% (total chance = .5 * 1.1), not 60%. Put slightly differently, if you have a 0% base chance to do something (which is never really the case, but illustrates the point), the +10% fake chance eq is worthless (total chance = 0 * 1.1 = 0). Similarly, if your base chance is extremely low (i.e., a WR without high agil and meaningful points in the relevant SAs) adding fake chance % eq isn't going to do much.

Anyone care to confirm/deny/modify?

Correct, it's multiplicative, not additive.

to op: that piece is extremely good if your build supports it.
many believe carrying increases chance to fake

You do not get a 2% with *every* upgrade. I believe it's every other upgrade.

I have a WR with +5% Break Tackle Chance, +2 Vision and every time I have upgraded the piece it has gone up +2%.

this is correct

SAs on AEQ are every other upgrade,
percentages go up 2% with every upgrade

Hb forum has a guy claiming his Break tackle AEQ on his WR is helping his WR spin and break tackles like crazy. Can you confirm ajunior? Is break tackle better AEQ option than Fake chance??????

Well spin actually is a break tackle move and it relies more on strength and carrying than it does on speed/agi unlike the other SA's in the speed back category.
