Here we go...
Front Running First Play-Off Home Contenders
1(1) Chicago Hedgehogs : Big win today against their merge-mates.
2 (2) Washington Wolfpack : Another win. Anyone surprised? Yeah, me either.
3 (5) Minnesota Marauders : Edged out the DLDT because of SoS.
4 (3)D-League Dream Team : Dropped 1 ranking because they let the Battalion come so close.
Potential Play-Off Fodder.
5 (4) Tallahassee Seminoles : Very much in danger of falling out of a play-off seed if they keep losing.
6 (6) Northwest Nighthawks : squeezed out a win from Wala Wala. Probably should drop down to 8 but I’ll hold them here for one more game.
7 (8) Cincinnati Stoners : Solid win over the Seminoles brings shows this team probably belongs in the play-offs.
8 (7) Austin Longhorns : Next 3 games are must wins for the Longhorns if they want to be considered a play-off team.
9 (15) Carson City Cubes : Okay, I under-estimated these guys. A big win over the Longhorns pushes
them up in the rankings
10 (11) Ketchikan Kamper Adventure Rentals : T#t# is missing in action and so is the team. Maybe they've taken the Kamper bus for a tour of Alaska? I suspect we'll see more of them next season. If they don’t show up soon, they’ll drop like a rock in the rankings.
Questionable Quartet:
11 (9) Nashville Hounds : someone had to lose the fiercely fought battle of the merger game and unfortunately for the hounds, it was them. I have to wonder if the hounds are playing possum by losing so many games.
12 (10) New Jersey Battalion : They are struggling. Their last couple of games have shown some spunk
but is it enough? Their schedule looks to be tough for the next 5 games. I doubt they'll walk away with more than 2 wins.
13 (12) Timpanogos Thunder : Have played 4 teams with 3 losses combined. Basically, they've played some of the best teams and come up short and only just. Look for the Thunder to be fairly quiet. Unless they get an upset, the Longhorns game looks to be their big shot of breaking their winless streak. A very important game as the following 3 games are against undefeated teams.
14 (14) Wala Wala Drunken Shriners : Lost to 3 very good teams. They're not as bad as their 1-3 record shows...But they really need a win against the Toro's if they want to avoid being the clowns (shriner reference) of the league. They also round out the “Questionable Quartet”.
15(13) Houston Toros : Not doing anything to make me think they’re better than I ranked them last week. Need to beat Wala Wala to avoid the Cupcake designation. Their close loss against CCCC cannot keep them from dropping this week.
16 (16) San Diego Demolition : They're actually worse than their record indicates. I can't figure out if they're going CPU or going to rebuild. What's more puzzling is why they're still in the Pros. Once upon a time they were a great team...now not so much.
