I'm talking about the 45-55 level range

For this season, if you want sacks, it's looking like 100 speed is mandatory. Either that or you have to hope for perfect speed boosts off of multiple broken blocks.

Pretty much...DT's and NT's are fucked right now.

Since no DT will or should ever have 100 speed, you see the problem.

No. NTs really ought to be bull rushers in case you're up against QBs that can scramble (to help contain). They should also have high tackling. 70 speed is plenty for NT imo. And I don't think DTs need 100 speed to get sacks either. I bet 85 would be enough, 90 at the most.

What's more important...Getting Speed to 74 or Vision to 60?

Vision to 60. Then to 68. If your an NT, don't expect a lot of sacks. Most DCs line up the NT to take on two guys so spring free is hard for a NT.

Most sacks by an NT are coverage sacks anyways so speed doesn't really help there. Its just about beating the snot out of the O-llne.

At NT - NO
http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=673638 (63 speed) (56 vision)

Strength is 120 counting workout warrior. Agility is 100 counting quick.

It's definitely nice to have if you can make sacrifices elsewhere in your build (like tackling, vision, and the SAs we're not sure actually do anything) and have had mad lucky AEQ rolls (like break block, make tackle, shed block, or D-line General). It's not for everyone.

I don't know how important either is for NT. Speed to 74 is a luxury, I'd probably stop at 70. I'm not sure I'd second cap vision, I'd probably stop around 55 and just load up on run stuffing attributes.

I would definitely 2nd cap, maybe even 3rd cap vision. Vision helps to determine whether the NT gets off the ball quickly. The strongest of NT will get taken out and/or flattened if he's still in his stance at the snap. A NT that can get a jump on the snap, even if he's slow, still starts the momentum forward at or before the blockers which gives a better chance at reverse pancakes.

last season I took speed to 74 first and it seemed to work out decently then with boost this season I took vision to 61 and meh but I think that is more of a game mechanics issue as many have mentioned . I have gotten a good number of hurries but no sacks as of yet this regular season so I cant say if or where the bar would be to turn those hurries into sacks .

I noticed a huge difference last year pushing speed past 68... but this year, not so much. Still, if you (or your AEQ rolls) decide to try and become a pass rushing NT, speed should end up near 80 naturally.
