I just rolled a piece of advanced equipment with +1 Monster Hit.

I am wondering whether this is worth having for a CB. The description is that it increases the chance of a getting a really big hit on the "call carrier". Would this include receivers? In the defensive scheme of my team, my CB doesn't usually end up tackling the RB. I'm not sure if this is a "run only" type of skill.

Would need high strength to make the really effective. I'd pass.

I managed to roll 2 pieces with Monster hit on for my CB & thought why not try em out, got it upto +6, but I'd say it's not really worth it, your CB's job is to shut down WR's & if he's doing his job properly your not going to get many chances to make many big hits. Look for something else more usefull.

If you are going to use it, do it right. I would set your cushion to over 0, load up on strength and tackling, put VAs to Helmet Crash and Power Tackler. You will get beat some, but should force a bunch of fumbles. It's worth the try.

It's not worth it unless you go all the way. I got this piece on three of four cornerbacks I had on the same team (I wouldn't have bought it really, but one had +1 Monster hit, +3 Agility, and the second +1 Monster hit, +2 Agility, so I figured I could try). But even when having lots of Monster hit (also the safties used it), we didn't see any big difference.
