I am a pretty much balanced Coverage/Run Support SS. With equipment I have 90 Speed, and 80 Agility. I can upgrade 3 more pieces so I need to know what you guys think.

It seems like the popular thing to do with CBs is to have and even amount of Speed/Agility (90/90). This may even hold true for Free Safeties.

But what about for Strong Safeties? Should I go for 90/90 or 100/80?

I would go 100/80 and even higher. 110 for a SS and use CD to help with the agility.

If you are used on coverage that much, speed will be more important. Otherwise, you don't really need more speed to stuff the run.

Looking ahead, at Level 48 I will have 4 more pieces of equipment to upgrade. That said I can shoot for two different things right now...

1) Speed to 97
2) Agility to 87

I'm in the process of building a SS and everything I've read over the last few weeks or so is a bigger split between speed and agility than CB's, with a target of 105 speed. Some say less speed, some say more speed, but 105 seems to be the mid point of what i'm reading.

Everyone talks about speed for safeties, but what about agility? Is 68 cap highest you need to go for both FS and SS? If so, how much equip should you put into it? Like a 1:3 ratio split between agi/speed or a 2:2?

At the moment I'm kinda leaning towards 90/90, and then aim for 100/90 Speed/Agility by the end of his career. It seems like getting Agility even with Speed would have more of an effect and produce more results right now. Especially since Greenday4537 said that you don't need more speed to stuff the run. I can let my Zone Specialist VA help my Speed in coverage.

Does that sound right??

Well i think speed should actually be taken higher on an ss. In the past few seasons, there are more and more slowbuild offensive players, ex. wr.. so in order to keep up with them, im thinking an ss should have higher than 100 speed. Even in blitzing from the outside, i think more speed will play a bigger factor. Im testing this out with one of my builds.

you should have speed agility & vision all 68 capped by now
i myself dont see a need for more than 70 agility for a SS [maybe FS, sure] so i have my EQ split 3:1 speed to vision, with all 6 from CE on speed. but ofc thats just my opinion ^^

I know I should have Vision to 68 by now, but I sacrificed it for Strength and SAs.

+5 speed, +3 Superior Vision SA (need 4 more Bonus Tokens to upgrade)

Grey Cleats
Basic grey cleats.
+5 agility

Superior Pink Visor
+6 agility, +4 Closing Speed SA

Grey Gloves
Basic grey gloves.
+5 speed

Shoulder Pads
Custom Item
+6 speed
+1 to Coverage tree
