Short of the FB flare, I see QB's throw into double coverage or worse over a wide open Receiver built FB. Is there something missing or miscoded in the sim? Is there some magic QB tactic that is missing. Its far too easy to get away with ignoring the FB on Defense knowing that the offense won't likely throw to a wide open-uncovered FB.

Your FB will have to have good receiving skills to get looked at on plays where he is not the primary target. Play around w/ having the QB set his tactics to dump to the hb/fb often and see if it helps.
Also the situation may dictate overlooking short routes. For example if it is 3rd and long...

Absolutely not useless and as the offensive coordinator, there is nothing I love more than when a D coordinator thinks they don't need to cover him.

As far as I think, anything that keeps the defense honest is great. Faking a handoff then dumping off later to either back will definitely punish any LB that bites too easily on the run.

There is no play action in GLB at this time.

This is the current MVP of WL Zeta - http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=332906
She runs the ball a lot, but she's also 4th in the league in receptions and 5th in receiving yards.

are you using the actual FB main option plays? If so...I don't believe it.

Implementing FB Flare and FB Texas ... using custom FB2 slot ... putting a high agile WR in it... we shall see....

I've played WR at HB before. They looked like they were running in quicksand. FB is probably the same result.
With a solid FB, there are 4 or 5 FB primary plays that work well, and a handful of other plays that have a FB route that work well against a poorly designed defense.

You can use a good scat back HB at FB, but a WR is worthless there.

Any OC worth his beans knows how to use the FB in the passing game or atleast HB playing FB. But there are a couple plays that are kind of worthless as the FB could be jumping up and down butt naked and the QB will not notice him.
